You could but it's a long way from Zion!! It's a good place to stay overnight or a week but just too far to drive to Zion!!

Yes, we actually did this. Parked the rig and did a couple days of sightseeing.

Definitely! We stayed there for 5 days/nights and went to Zion and other adventures every day. If you want to get a parking spot in Zion, go into the park at 7AM or earlier, though. 😊

Yes, we used this as our base camp for Zion, Bryce Canyon as well as lots of day hikes around Kanab. We had a great spot on the upper main section on the edge of the canyon. We were there for 5 days and away from the camper almost all day, every day. Other campers were all friendly and we had no issues. Of course, take general precautions and lock valuables up as well as the trailer just the same as other boondocking spots.

It is possible. But it is better to go to the 9. There is also a free campground. Only 20 minutes from the east entrance.

Yes, there is alot of boondocking in the area. We only stayed 1 night, but there is plenty of room to tuck into a spot that not quite so obvious and use tow vehicle to wonder. Its pretty close to the hwy and a few rough spots so scout the area first for clearance depending on the route deeper into some spots.

Yes. We stayed here and visited both Zion and Grand Staircase Escalante. It is outside the town of Kanab, UT which was a great place to visit for 4th of July. If you have time, volunteer at Best Friends Animal Shelter for a 1/2 day. Its a very rewarding experience.
