All 3 or so campsites down this road are really pretty this really is a beautiful area and town just kind of tucked into the mountains. The river goes right past. but I’m not sure how in the world anyone had service here because I had absolutely zero service as a Verizon carrier. Also each night is $8. Only area with good cell and Data 3 bars +. All others just have 1x good just for calling and a great steelhead run in front

This is a decent BLM campground next to the Deschutes River just outside Maupin. Like most BLM campgrounds it is relatively inexpensive. As of when we were there it was $8 for a week night and $12 for a weekend night. There are 10 sites I think and some have back in access and some are pull up next to the site access. This is a decent BLM campground next to the Deschutes River just outside Maupin. Like most BLM campgrounds it is relatively inexpensive. As of when we were there it was $8 for a week night and $12 for a weekend night. There are 10 sites I think and some have back in access and some are pull up next to the site access. The toilet was clean and stocked. The sites were in ok but somewhat rundown shape. The train passes across the river from the campground, so there is train noise occasionally. Overall it was decent camp spot near Maupin.
