My friends and I took a road trip through the UP and got to this campground around midnight. We left around 9 or 10am but we enjoyed waking up with a view of the lake and went for a swim in the morning. Beautiful place to stay. The bathrooms were clean.

We were visiting relatives in Union Pier Michigan and needed to stay a few nights. This campground was close to them. Sites are crowded with very little privacy. Park appears to be geared towards vacationers who want to spend time near the lakefront. Staff are friendly. We had a gravel pad that was fairly level.

Pat, the campground host was a great guy and made sure our every need was met. Showers and restrooms were clean and well maintained. The water was nice, hot and plentiful. We decided to stay an extra night. I would highly recommend staying here.

Very quiet campground. We stayed in the smaller, more Northern part of the campground. This area has a circle of spots and during our stay there, two different large groups gathered there. So if you were going to stay here, try to stay on the other side. But even then you're a bit cramped. At least on this Northern end, in our site, we had a lot of space. Probably the biggest space we've had in a campground on East of the MS tour.
No sewer, but power and water. Camp host was really nice. The campground lost power for just a few minutes, and he immediately came around to update everyone as to what was going on.
Nice location next to the water. There is a small beach there but just a heads up as of June 30 2021 (as in 5 days from now) there are (3) new sites opening up right on the water. I think this will degrade the experience because:
1. The people in those spots will constantly have people walking through their sites to the water
2. The people in those spots will be blocking the view for everyone else
We enjoyed not having those spots open yet, they were roped off during our stay. Because of this we were able to get a view of the water, and so was everyone else.
While we are rating this a 4, it'll drop to a 3 when those sites are opened up.
Verizon was decent, it got us through the week but it was grinding teeth at times. Still able to stream in the evening.
AT&T showed signal, but couldn't even get a speed test done.
Town of Escanaba is 20 minutes north and has all the essential like a Walmart and such. Be sure to get some pasties from Dobbers and Grams and decide which one is best. If you don't know what a pastie is, just google it!

This county park offers oversized lots with great views of Green Bay. Very big rig friendly. It’s south of Escanaba. Very quiet and camp hosts keep it clean.

Great little park with some sites on the water. Site 21 is across from the beach with playground. Short walk along water to get off park grounds (there is a sign) and I could let the dogs off leash.
