“This is not a campground. It's a trailer park.”

We stayed 30 days at the monthly rate ($30/night). We haven't yet been billed for the electricity so I can't comment on that. As my title states, this isn't a campground. It is devoted to permanent trailer residences used mainly on the weekends. During the week the place is a ghost town. But Friday afternoon begins the exodus in. Cars parked everywhere. Golf carts charging around. There a few sites for "transient" campers like us. But they are treeless in an open field surrounded by permanent sites. The site was well spaced, and included a concrete "patio", picnic table and fire ring. The site was F/H with 30/50amp service. Sort of. During the high load weekend the 50amp service is subject to brown-outs and power drop-offs. The owner blames the city service as inadequate. During high use times I had to switch over to the 30amp service and had better luck. If you're staying more than a few days bring a replacement water filter. The water here is high iron content and after a couple of weeks my whole house filter was completely red with the stuff (see picture). Also, the water pressure has a bad habit of fluctuating between good and non-existent. There is a large swimming pool, a large-ish pond that people fish at (no license required). Weirdly there is no laundry facility on site. The nearest laundromat is in the town of Lyons, about 10 minutes away. The nearest decent grocery is in Newark (NY) about 15 minutes away. Lyons is equidistant between the Finger Lakes and Lake Ontario, so lots to go see and do, just not in Lyons itself. Arrival and check-in was easy enough, but unless you arrive on a Friday or Saturday you'll need to call the number at the office and someone will come down to process you. We were provided two electronic gate keys for entry during our stay. My T-Mobile 5G hotspot device clocked in at approximately 50mbps D/L and 2-3mbps U/L. There is no park WiFi available.
