All campsites are on dirt and close to being level. I had to use a couple leveling blocks. All the sites are nestled among the pine trees and many sites have views of the lake. The lake was very low. So much so that the boat launch was closed.
We arrived just after check in. Process was simple and quick even with the Covid restrictions. Water and electricity were provided. They had a vacuum truck that you can pay for to empty your black and gray water tanks before heading down the road. The pump on the vacuum truck did not work well and the hose had a lot of duct tape on it so the process took a long time and did not evacuate all of the tanks.
Otherwise other campers were courteous and no noise problems. I don't remember if the showers or bathroom were open, I think not, but we did not need to use. There is gun fire off in the distance which I assume is hunting in the woods. One of the kids played golf close by and we did some hikes.
I would like to go back when there is more water in the lake. It will be more scenic then.

Sites so close and hilly, some would be very difficult to get in. So many fees and regulations. Due to lake level being lower this time of year I would hardly call this a waterfront campground. There are a lot of better choices around this lake. One good? thing, very close to town.

We actually had to call and switch sites after several tries at backing in - we kept almost hitting bottom. Our site had a lake view which was nice. Dirt no grass. Pay showers! Really? After paying $50/night with no waste water connection? No WiFi. Lots of FT/ seasonal rentals with nicely set up sites. You need a pass card to swipe into the gate which we could not get having arrived at 5 pm after the office closed. So our curfew is set 😉.

Great location near Lassen Volcanic National Park, clean and shaded park with large trees, full hookups and fire rings. Sites are small and very close together, so not a lot of privacy. Stayed here mid-week (Mon-Thur) before 4th of July weekend. Somewhat hilly, very treed campground with water and electric at RV sites (heard some sites had sewer but most do not...there is a dump station on the way out) on Lake Almanor. Sites are very close together, especially in the row we were in so this is why we would not stay here again. Many sites are seasonal creating less options. Campground is close to town (1 mile) and has tent sites on the waterfront. Nice views of the lake, but might be because it was full this year (yay!). One restroom and shower building, but tokens are required for showers, which cost 50 cents for 2 minutes! Mostly quiet campground, especially at night. In addition to the nightly rate, we paid an $8 reservation fee and an 8-1/2% "bed tax."
