“Shady sites, modernised restrooms, pleasant stay”

We spent three nights at North Overlook. The campground has plenty of trees and most sties have shade for a good part of the day. The restroom/shower facility was rebuilt recently and features six individual units containing toilet, sink, and shower. These were kept very clean during our stay. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Our site had a slight slope which leveling blocks easily took care of.
I advise choosing a site on the lake side of the campground rather than the highway side, unless you like highway noise.

“Older campground but good access to the beach”

We arrived right at check in time, so we were able to get our tag and information about the area. Host was friendly and polite. I did notice that there were quite a few campers there that look like they had been there quite a while and brought the whole house plus the kitchen sink. Found that rather surprising for a COE park. Also, at our site and others we walked by, there was bits of litter strewn about, which didn't get picked up the whole time we were there.
Pros: older narrower road and older bathrooms, but family members said they were clean, helpful hosts, close to the beach
Cons: litter around, some sites required leveling,
We had a problem with our electrical post and reported it right away. Within five minutes a ranger was there and helped to get it on. Not even ten minutes later an electrician was at our site and changed out the 50A switch. That was impressive!
I would stay again, but only in sites 36, 37 and 39. I thought they were the best in the loop.

We had made plans back in January to attend the 7th annual Red Rock Balloon festival with my brother and his family and our daughter. It also coincides with the Baloney Nationals classic car show....
