Our recent visit to North Haven CG.
Upon making our reservation on line, we received a helpful and complete greeting text from Munro, Owner/Manager. The text set a tone of helpfulness, provided all necessary information, and included communication paths to him should we have any questions or need local information. As we were arriving from Canada after a very windy drive, we were delighted to request and be given a little earlier check-in as the guest from the night before had departed.
Arrival: The included instructions were complete, and arrival signage was thoughtfully located to facilitate easy navigation. Our site was clean, and included a very nice picnic table and a generous sized fire pit. The 20/30/50 amp connections were on the newer side, the water plentiful with good pressure, and a CLEAN sewer connector.
Shortly after arrival, we met the owner, who made certain all was well.
The campground is reminiscent of a nice State park - still rustic enough to feel like you’re camping, but with all of the site conveniences of a full hookup resort.
Firewood and some basic supplies were available 24/7 by an honor system, paid by cash into a lock slot, or Venmo, etc.
The restrooms were SPOTLESS. Really. We didn’t use the showers, but they looked great!
Same goes for the laundry, spotless.
The camp is located near Hy95, just far away enough to mute the highway noise, but close enough to be convenient. There are 2 very large travel centers near Hy95, to fill up or find last minute items.
We found a nice mixture of longer term folks, largely in one area, some with well-behaved kids, and short term guests like ourselves. Despite this, sites were tidy, and the people welcoming.
After more than 4 weeks on the road, we rate this one of our top experiences overall, and would certainly return.
Last thoughts: Those in very large rigs with slides on both sides might feel more comfortable in the newer, more open sites, however we enjoyed the private feeling of greenery on both sides of our site.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were excellent. The bathhouse was so nice. Also the laundry facilities were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Bonner’s Ferry hiking and sight-seeing.

Campground is located on the north side of Bonners Ferry & far enough off the main highway that noise is minimal for the most part.
Our site, #1, is accessed off the street & you are literally in your site once you pull of the street. Sites are surrounded by trees & various bushes. Grass is maintained but all the other vegetation could use some trimming. Sites & roads are all gravel/rock. Sites are mostly level & hookups were well located.
Staff is friendly & allows mail/packages to be sent here. There is a convenience store/Sonic located across the main highway, about a 2-3 minute walk. Other services are within 5-10 minutes driving time.
Price per night is a little high for the lack of amenities such as pool.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, it was a 5 star experience! Heidi greeted us with a big smile in the office and she was so personable that I felt like I’d known her for years. Then as we met additional staff and the owners, our 5-star experience grew more! Spotless bathrooms, showers and laundry room! Sites are private and everything works! It’s about 2.5 miles from beautiful downtown Bonners Ferry for anything you need. This park will NOT disappoint you!

The owner/manager was just great! The bathhouse was beyond description. Felt like we were in an upscale lodge. It was hot today, but we managed to stay cool by positioning the van for some shade. A bit of highway noise, but barely heard a thing after dark. No bugs to speak of either at the end of July.
