We were there in July of 2023 and it was very crowded, especially on the weekends. I would say you may get lucky but level spots are rare if not impossible on weekends. I suggest you contacted the forest service to find out if the planned restrictions on where you can camp have taken effect or if they will be in effect in June when you plan to be there.

It can be very busy, it is worth the try, the camping experience was one most of my life. I would heed previous advise and contact forest service, hearing there may be some limits or restrictions this year. Save and happy travels.

There is a lot of room, and if you arrive early in the day you are almost guaranteed a spot. Just don’t be surprised to be surrounded by sunset.

We have only been there in May. We got one of the last "view" spots when we arrived on a Wednesday. By Saturday all the good "view" spots were taken, but there were places to park across the dirt road (not on the cliff side).

The place is huge, goes on for around 2 miles and you can camp anywhere along the ridge. There is always room to camp there

We were there the week of July 4th 2019, we had NO PROBLEM getting a spot. I have heard that BLM has set up designated spots now, and when they are full that’s all that can come in. Your best time to get there is midweek. ITS BEAUTIFUL!!!

I think we were there on a weekday before it became as popular as it is now and got a great spot. All spots were first come first serve so it maybe hard but it is definitely worth giving it a try since it is an amazing view for free.

Yes. There are a lot of spots but all the good ones will be gone for sure. The spots are on both sides of the road. So cliff side fills up super quick. Good luck!
