Owners are helpful, friendly and offer info about places to see. The fall colors are beautiful and you can photograph the Alaska train as it crosses a bridge over the Tanana river. Denali is about 1 1/2 hours to the south. There is a cool railroad musuem in town. The campground closes at the end of September.

They have a dvd collection in the office and the staff is super friendly and offers advice on the town and restaurants (all within walking distance). The sites are close together but since it isn’t full, people are a few sites apart. It’s a perfect place to charge and fill up before Denali and some dispersed camping.

We stayed there for a night at an electric only RV site. We booked 1 hour prior arrival and everything was prepared. Helpful and friendly staff. The site is really quiet and there were maybe 10 other RVs.

Cute little office in a log cabin, a gift shop and DVD rentals for $1. Laundry ($2 to wash, $2 to dry), free showers, book exchange, trash, recycling, dump station and propane. We walked around town, not much going on. Every person waved at us whether they were walking, in a vehicle or shooting some hoops. 3-4 Bars of Verizon service.
Do not push the book now tab on Campendium, a dry site will cost you $30 instead of $22 in person.

Friendly staff.
Verizon great on talk, iffy on data. The free wifi worked at the site but was slow.
Laundry was very reasonable compared to other parks and showers were included and clean.
Gave noise a 5 even though you could hear the train whistle in the distance.
Wish we could have spent another day to visit the towns attractions.
