About 10 minutes up a winding two lanes into the mountains, the hot springs and campground are the end of the road. Some small cabins surround the circular hot springs building which consists of a small cafe and two developed outdoor pools, one 99 degrees or so and one 104. Very mellow when we were there. Mix of couples, groups and a few families. Locker and towel rentals available.

The campground is just below, under trees overlooking a rushing river. Nice big sites with some room between. We were there in late October so water was turned off, but we had electricity at our site (and the place to ourselves). Didn’t check out the bathrooms but I’d expect basic but functional.

We visited the developed springs the evening we arrived and the next day, drove about 45 minutes to the natural pools at Halfway Hotsprings. 11km up a potholed dirt road, probably passable by any vehicle but high clearance and 4WD helped on some wet steep sections. Short walk down a steep path to the river, and there are two roughly developed tubs (and another in process), changing rooms being built (the site was just taken over by BC Parks this year) but beyond are some completely natural pools beside the river. Note that you can also camp up at these hot springs (maybe 10 sites, 1st come), but sites are small and the road is rough. Someone had gotten a 19’ trailer up there but the road would be slow going.

Note that there’s no cell service in the Nakusp Hot Springs CG, boosters and antennas be damned. The cafe seems to have a stronger booster that may get you a bar or two, but it’s barely usable.

Dump station at the Esso in Nakusp or at the municipal CG in town (also a good option for camping tho closer access to the hot springs is nice!).
