This campground is just 15-minutes from Mystic and about an hour’s drive to Newport, Rhode Island. It’s just a few minutes from I-95 and so close to Mystic Aquarium, downtown Mystic, Mystic Seaport, and all the local spots.
It’s a well-maintained campground with 2 pools (though the larger one was closed for maintenance during our stay), lots of play areas and daily activities for little ones, and a cool “pub truck” for adult drinks. Our site (#408) was about 85’ long with plenty of room for our 45’ motorhome and toad (and then some!). It was level and gravel with a nice fire ring and picnic table. The hookups worked fine with 50-amp electric and decent water pressure. Cable TV had nearly 50-channels, but the wi-fi didn’t quite reach our part of the park.
Due to a family issue, we needed to leave about a day-and-a-half early. We called the office as a courtesy to let them know as we were pulling out and received a partial credit for a night’s stay on our credit card. Didn’t even ask, they just did it. Thanks Mystic KOA!
We’ll definitely be back. This is a great place to stay when visiting the coastal Connecticut/Rhode Island area.

Very nice and clean. We only stayed one night. Friendly staff and quiet at night, unless you have the site close to the highway but not that bad. Gravel site and not level.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in November 2023. Visiting family in the area this time of year, left us with only a few options, but this worked well enough. It's a KOA, so you know what you can expect: laundry room, dog park, playground, propane fills, camp store, etc. All of these were great and in good working order. The pull-through sites in the A-D loop had full hookups, but were of mixed condition. Some seemed fine. Others, including ours, were a little short and slightly unlevel, but easily remedied with leveling blocks.
The staff was friendly and helped us receive packages during our stay. The campground is near restaurants, breweries, grocery stores and not too far from the casinos and outlet shops. Also near I95, so the constant droning of traffic is always there, but became white noise quickly and wasn't a bother.
Cell service was great, so not sure about the park's wifi.
Overall, a fine park and in the off-season when other parks are closed, it does the trick.

The important thing for us is to not be disturbed at night and our fellow campers were quiet.
Pleasant, clean and the staff was nice.
Some highway noise, cell phone reception was adequate.
We would stay here again.

I had to exit my site straight through the site in front of me. A tree with a low thick branch prevented me from exiting to the left traffic pattern. They really should access the tree heights, and some of the obstacles (rock) placed very close to the roadway to prevent inadvertent damage. Overall a nice place to stay and we’ll be back.

They place rocks at the corners of tight turns in the most inconvenient and ineffective places. Be extra careful. Better yet stay elsewhere!

Site wasn't quite flat enough, could use some work on the pull through site. Good staff, had trash pickup right away and very friendly. Getting in and out with a pull through site was easy and plenty of room. The pool was closed for repairs in July which was disappointing.

Stayed August 2021 - great location. Wish we stayed longer. The campground was very nice. VERY family-friendly, but even as empty nesters we liked it a lot. Very clean, safe, and tons to do at the campground. The campground was very full and activity going on everywhere, but everyone was wonderful, polite, and quiet during quiet time. Also, a ton to do in the surrounding area. Stonington is a gorgeous, tiny little area. This campground says Mystic, but it's not, it's Stonington, and Mystic is about 20+ min away. Even Providence and Newport were easy day trips. Too much to try to do in just 6 days. They put us in a site that was WAY too small for our 42' fifth wheel which was the only thing we weren't happy with. The park was full when we arrived and left making it tough getting in, tough getting out with all the cars behind and in front and a large branch hanging down that almost took out our AC units when we cut it as much as we needed to. We would stay there again in a different location.
Tip: Check out Wild Briars Family Farm for the most amazing baked goods. It's a tiny little stand hidden in Stonington. Really only the neighborhood knows about them, but there are lines and they sell out quickly so get there early. I think they are only open 3 days a week. Definitely worth the effort.

Dog and Kid friendly campground with large outdoor fields, walking trails, pools, fire pit, picnic table, store, full hookups, cabins (for those friends who do not have an RV). The staff was friendly and all the paperwork was waiting for us at the store counter. R10 was a full hookup site with cabins across the street. It was pretty quiet, but it is close to I-95, when outside you can definitely hear the interstate traffic, but not a deal breaker, this is of course if your close to the entrance or the highway side. Nice little dog park for the four legged family members. Close to Mystic, CT waterfront for great dining and entertainment. But, the Covid restrictions were in place at all corners, it is what it is.
Cons: our sewer connections threads were pretty much gone, so a donut was used with no problems, hookups were pretty much on the neighbors site, and we could not get the wi-fi to work, nor the cable, but we did have a loose coaxial cable in our rig, (figured this out on our next outing) so that was not their fault. The trash is picked up every morning and there are no dumpsters. These are all minor things and I'm just nitpicking, but it is what it is.
We would definitely stay here again in the future!!!
