Now, the town has seen better days and is in a very sad state. I would think finding a restaurant would be a challenge. There's a lot of freeway noise. At some point, the owners wanted to create a nicer RV park, but these ideas are on hold so there's a large unfinished building with new-looking dusty exercise equipment, an unfinished store and large empty rooms.
I would stay here again when trying to drive out of the huge state of Texas.

Check in was quick. Clean 50 AMP hookups, water & sewer on each spot.
Looks like a lot of permanent residents but that was just fine.

Full hookups, spacious park, large dog run and good cell service. We stopped here twice as a halfway overnight on our way to and then from our trip. The couple that run this park were very friendly and helpful. My husband loved that we could also add air to our class C tires before taking off again. We would stay here again.

Overall we would feel comfortable staying here again. T-Mobile cell service was good enough to stream to TV from phone. WiFi available but weak, kept dropping out.

We were given a space that was really too short and had to move. Plus the sites are pull in but not pull out if any other rig gets in line ahead. A rooster next door overworked his vocals from daybreak to sunset and trains come through town all night and let you know when they do. Four nights was too long. Three would have been plenty... more

And allowed us to visit the 2 national parks. There is a good restaurant in town, El Capitan and a pretty well stocked grocery, Porter, for such a dead town. Spaces are reasonable and we were pleased with the good quality water. sewer and power are good. Good internet too. Our ATT worked well.

The owners of this park are doing everything right. We called while on the side of I90 with a broken fuel injection line. The towtruck driver pulled our Class A motorhome right into a pull thru site with no problem. The sites are large, open and perfectly level. There are trees at almost all the sites which provide well needed shade during a warm day. Yes, the ground is dirt and yes it is dusty...AS IS MOST OF TEXAS!
They have a huge dog park with a row of pines down the center that provide shade. Our dog loved the expanse of it and got needed exercise.
The owners are a accomodating, sweet couple who have done tons of work on the park in the last 8 years. The main building (still under construction) is slated to have a store, exercise equipment, games and a large television with seating area.
This park is a great stop. The town, has not much to speak of but it is conveniently located 1 hour south of the Guadalupe Mtn National park. It is approx 1.5-2 hours east of El Paso. We are fairly close to the highway so there is road noise but nothing unexpected for the convenience of being close to the highway,

Nice big park, but fairly dusty. Easy access from I-10. Excellent bathroom and shower facilities. Nice laundry but dryers weren't working. Friendly staff. You can see that they are investing some money into several upgrades which they hope will be done by the end of 2022. They need more picnic tables.

Sites were 80 feet long, dirt, 30/50 Amp, with mature trees and boulders between each site. super easy access. Two dog runs. Office / rec room was having new tile installed. Excellent Verizon coverage, but I didn't note the bars.

Yes, it’s right off the highway so there’s some road noise, but also easy on and off. Trees at most sites. Bathrooms are being renovated and are 3/4 private baths.
Will stay again if we are in town.

Although they are remodeling, the stay was pleasant. Level sites, great dog run, clean showers, friendly staff. Right off I10. Great overnight stop!
