Overall Rating
A beautiful camping area just off the beaten path, easy to find, and well maintained. The best thing that this campground has going for it is, of course, the lake. I'm not an angler but saw plenty of folks with their catch of the day. Mountain View Campground is apart of Scofield State Park, "built on a terrace on the shoreline". Good views of the lake abound but plenty of shade to be found as well. For bird watchers there are many varieties to enjoy. The history of the Scofield area is fascinating as well. Enjoy your stay!
