We stayed here two night’s going and one night returning from a family visit for Thanksgiving in Yucaipa. We loved the peacefulness and openness of the setting. On the return trip I paid for my wife to take her first glider ride :-). We went back the next morning to the little cafeteria at the airport for a very nice breakfast.

Quiet location near the glider strip so you get limited airplane noise.
We were originally assigned site 12 but then reassigned to site 9. Site 12 would have been a better choice for us, our site had trees on both sides and no trimming of branches is allowed so we had branches on our slide toppers or windows our entire stay which is not great when there are strong winds.
Downgraded our rating, dump station was out of order so we had to pay $10 at the Love's truck stop. Restrooms and laundry were also out of order when we left. Pretty expensive for a 4 night stay with so few amenities. Felt like they should pay the dump station fee but no one working in the office when we left.
Overall this is a good stopover if you need a place in Tehachapi but next time I think we'll stay at a lower elevation, it was just too cold for us and with the wind it felt even colder.

Would definitely stay here again. Trees and picnic tables for each site. Clean bathrooms with hot showers. Laundry on site. Very quiet place and restful. Views of the mountain ranges are breathtaking. Dirt and paved roads to take a hike on. Owner is very kind and helpful. He let me arrive several hours early

We have stayed here on and off for the last 17 years. Water and electric only with dump station. Nice to walk around the airport in the evenings. Usually windy. Several thousand wind turbines in the area. Staff has always been friendly. Restrooms tidy.

There is a sail plane runway here but weather prevented too much action and noise. Was bummed that there wasn’t sewage but they do have a dump station next to the office. It is windy here hence the sail planes and hundreds of wind mills. But it is georgeous here. Had no issue at all getting our 43ft toy hauler into the park. Pull through spaces were easy to navigate.

The campground was a short ways up the road. Lots of trees shaded each roomy spot. We were exhausted after a long day of driving, and the campground lady that helped us get settled was awesome and helpful. The showers were large, spotless, and part of the camp fee. There is even a lending library in the main office. We will be back!

The entire park is very well kept and quiet. There is a minimum amount of foliage so summers might be hot and of course an airstrip is directly behind the park so there’s likely to be noise during the day. Our site did not have a sewer connection but the power and water worked just fine. I would definitely recommend this park as a great overnight stopover.
