The lake is fun (more so if you have a powerboat since it's a bit windy and wavy for optimal kayaking), there's a disc golf course, a playground, and a camp store with ice cream.
On the flip side, this is NOT the kind of place you come to if you want a peaceful camping experience. At least not in the middle of July. Basically, if you have a bunch of kids and you want a family-friendly anything goes kind of place where the kids can run wild through other people's sites while letting their dogs crap wherever they want, you'll love it here. Or, if you want to have a thumping loud dance party until well after midnight, you will also love it here as there appears to be no enforcement of quiet hours. If you are anyone else, do yourself a favor and don't come here in July.
One final note, a new cell tower was installed near here very recently and both Verizon and AT&T work very well.

The campground was spacious, well-manicured, spotlessly clean and peaceful. I had a no-hookups, pull-through site right on the lake front. It was shaded, but I was able to get enough solar in the late afternoon when the sun was beyond the lake.
I was just able to get a Verizon 4G data signal. 1 bar, -109 dB, 1 Mbps down and 1 up.

Great place to stay, especially during the Summer months. Plenty of old growth trees for shade, and the lake for swimming if the shade doesn't quite keep you cool. There's lots of well kept grassy areas for the kids to play, as well as pavement and a dirt BMX track, for bike riding and a playground.
The camp sites are quite large if you like space between you and your neighbors.
The only objective negatives I come up with are the mosquitos in the evening and limited phone service.

Park was clean and nice. We fished, swam, flyed kites, did the whole fire camping thing!
Very kid friendly, larger than normal RV spots.

That said, the campground itself is very well-maintained with lots of grass and large campsites. The pull-through spots or the spots around the outside of the loops seem to be the more private ones, however, none of the sites here are very private since there really aren't any trees or greenery around the individual campsites to provide cover. But, since the sites are so spacious and spread out it didn't seem crowded or cramped, even with a full campground on the weekend.
