Very nice people including a park ranger (Jay) who came to my campsite and assisted me when the electric tongue jack stopped working on my trailer. It’s an older model without easy access to raise or lower it manually. He showed me how to take apart to access the manual component. He saved me from having to call an emergency RV repair place.

Big state Park, many loops, sites are long enough to fit our truck and 25ft trailer.
Lake Moreau has plenty of trails around, some for mountain bikes with quite a difference in altitude.
4 star review because of the dump station located in a hollow and not leveled. Still one good thing is the hose for RV cleaning 👍

Loops C and D have nice spots for RVs, but some would be hard pressed to fit longer units. Our 26’ trailer fit well into site 48, but really long units may have a hard time on the loop road for D. Sites are very private and spacious. Park is very quiet. Most sites are heavily wooded without hookups.
Dump station is tilted the wrong way but it otherwise worked. Just don’t expect to empty completely.

The beaches are spectacular, you can rent canoe or kayaks. Don't think you're going to come and get solar power because the massive trees won't allow that (a bummer for me). Each of the loops had it's own shower/bath house and they all looked very new. most of the sites looked large and level however some of them would not accommodate a 35'+ rig (narrow or trees in the way).

Our site was long & level enough - some of the sites were up hill and slanted a bit more. No one very close to us, but not really a view of the lake either.
Dry camping site ($30 seems a bit high for dry)... but the park was nice. I enjoyed walking the loops and down to the lake and across a little bridge.
We did use the dump station, but the potable water spigot did not have threads to connect a hose.

Many sites are on a hill and you have to back up or down the hill to enter the site. In some other loops, the camp road is very narrow with multiple trees on either side, making backing in a difficult maneuver. Our site was large and easy to enter. The dump station was quite a ways away further into the park and there is only a small waiting area, be aware. The lake is small with nice hiking trails, large beach and nature center, picnic areas under the trees. Bathrooms were ok, the women's stalls had locks that didn't work and only one shower functioning. The park is close to Route 87 and there are many large grocery stores close by. Saratoga Springs and it's downtown and restaurants are a short drive away.

Gorgeous lake, looks like it would be super busy in summer season but the campground loops are well away from the day use beach area. We could see the lake across from our site, mostly obscured by trees but would have a clear view when leaves are down. Great trails in the park and very easy access to both Saratoga and Lake George areas. We stayed four nights and had fun both in camp and around town. OK cell service on US Cellular for phone or text but not enough to stream anything. Only four stars for noise because near major roads, but not a problem in the camper.

This campground is absolutely beautiful. We camped during Fall and the trees are just gorgeous. It has a big lake and spacious and pretty far apart sites. It was quiet and there are walking trails and is pretty close to Glens Falls and Saratoga.
My negative complaint is that the photo for our site was misleading. Don’t get me wrong, the site was large, well maintained, close to the bathrooms and water, and beautiful. However, the online photo when booking does not say there are 2-4 trees at the entrance of the site that make it very difficult to back in and out of. We had no warning of this before hand and in order to pull out we had to hook and unhook our 28ft pull behind trailer to get the right angle in order leave without hitting the trees.
The other thing I want to mention is that the showers- while clean and free- did not get hot. I’d say that got about luke-warm. Showering in the Fall weather
was not very pleasant.
We would definitely stay again, but at a site more convenient for us. Think it would work great for a tent camper or someone with a small camper.
