This is perfect overnight+ I am in the area from time to time and always stay a night.Also had an odd experience here in 2020 but have stayed 4 or 5 times since.

Hopefully my experience was a one off. A truck pulled into my site and 3 people got out to fish and one of the men talked about where to set up their tent and when to start the fire (in a fire pit right outside my van door). I said if they were gong to stay that I could move. The response was that it is public land and I could stay ( t... more
Hopefully my experience was a one off. A truck pulled into my site and 3 people got out to fish and one of the men talked about where to set up their tent and when to start the fire (in a fire pit right outside my van door). I said if they were gong to stay that I could move. The response was that it is public land and I could stay ( there were plenty of other spots to fish and / or camp). I decided to leave and drove to the other side of the lake across from my original sight. When I saw the 3 men get back into their vehicles and drive out the direction I had gone, I decided it wasn’t worth the concern and left the area.

I was the only one camped here so I can’t comment on the vibes of other campers. Beautiful area, easy to navigate if you pull in after dark, with tons of hooting owls. I was the only one camped here so I can’t comment on the vibes of other campers. Beautiful area, easy to navigate if you pull in after dark, with tons of hooting owls. Overall, I felt pretty safe here. However, there are livestock guardian dogs (or so I assume they are unless there is a pack of feral dogs in the area) that are quite loud throughout the night. This may or may not be a good thing depending on how you view it—at least you’re aware of potential predators—but I was concerned they could be free roaming and come after my own dogs. If you’re a light sleeper they may keep you up at night.

Nice place unfortunately only caught 1 bass think it's time of year it just started cooling from 100 Temps this week to the 80s but I could just suck. Clean park open and big enough for big rigs. We have a 23' skoolie and hauling a 19' scamp and got around fine. Very quiet and beautiful sunsets and rises over the water. Only down fall ... more

This is a hidden gem. If you like dispersed camping and fishing you will like this place. Road and all turnouts/campsites are mowed and well maintained. There are pit toilets in two locations. This is a hidden gem. If you like dispersed camping and fishing you will like this place. Road and all turnouts/campsites are mowed and well maintained. There are pit toilets in two locations. I think the best spots for shade and privacy are the south side of the lake. Great sunsets! The night I was there, it sprinkled, and the fish were jumping all over the lake. Verizon service worked well.

Didn’t See Anyone Else But It Is January. Seems clean. Some of the spots are peninsulas that go out into the water. It was actually very cool and made for some great sunrises coming through my window. They do have fire rings and picnic tables. And big rigs would be OK. It seems to be very well maintained as far as the road.

Very nice private spots all around the lake.This location is very clean and is pack-in/pack out no trash cans or dumpsters do you part and enjoy this one.
