Also, nothing to do there, no trails and in spring a stream runs through the middle but without a pedestrian bridge you need to jump the stream just to walk around the campground. It’s near the road and you hear cars in mornings and evenings. I didn’t get the appeal.

This campground is nice and well maintained. It’s really close to both LA and Palmdale. The highway noise is a bit loud but it doesn’t go on all night. Spots 8-12 might be hard to get an RV into but they are probably the quietest. I have a 28” rig and camped in spot 16 which I think might be one of the best for RV’s. This campsite is r... more

This campsite is really popular for hunters and I did see a few rinsing their kills under the fresh water spigots so maybe bring something to sanitize with before you use the fresh water.

Very nice, we got a spot early on a Friday and by Friday night it was busy but people respected the quiet hours. It was super clean and we were staying there before going to Thousand Trails in Acton. It was a nice break from life.
With the National Park Pass it was only $6!

It was a nice local getaway for us, we Live in Los Angeles so it wasn't too far from us. We went during the week so it was pretty empty and quiet. The host was really nice, has clean water for all the hikers and was really helpful. The down side is that the campsite is near the freeway so you can hear the traffic in the morning and afternoon when people are getting off of work. Sites are nice pretty spacious, has fire pits, no grill, running water, and the restrooms are pretty clean for being pit toilets. It is first come first serve and it can be a bit loud during the weekend.
