Only a couple spots available in a cul-de-sac style parking area. When we were there, weather was great. Quite exposed. Pit toilet bathroom was nice. Fair amount of people during the daytime, checking out the tower, but calmed down at night

Apparently there was a fire here recently. There is one camping spot on the last cutback before the gate. I had a nice, quiet night in my van.
Elizabeth would stay here again

Not much of a campground. There's 3 distinct parking areas Skyline (the lowest) has 2 vault toilets, Monjeau peak has 1 vault toilet and in between there's a trailhead with parking, each can handle about 10 cars. The 5+mile dirt road up is nicely graded (but steep) and can handle most vehicles (I saw a Prius go up it), but its mostly for Class Bs or tent camping (no real room for turning around anything bigger) and it can get very crowded. The mountain itself hasn't recovered from the fires, lots of dead wood. While I wouldn't camp here, its a great day-trip, it has a fire lookout tower at the top that has excellent views and usually a ranger up there to chat with.
