Overall Rating
Safe and friendly place to camp in Slab City among long and short term campers. There is a flush toilet. Also, a single washing machine, sink and shower are available for a small fee. (Water is brought in from town.) There’s an outside kitchen/ BBQ area, and most early evenings we found someone cooking a giant pot of stew with generous offers to share, along with some friendly conversation. A couple nights a week there’s an acoustic jam around the fire pit. Mojo and all were friendly, interesting folks with some good stories of life in the Slabs. We enjoyed walking all around “town” and checking out the scene.
