We arrived here on a Sunday to find 5 of the 9 sites open. We could have fit in any site with our 25-foot trailer but chose the larger, more open, site 3 in hopes of getting some sun for our solar panels. That plan didn't work out well as the trees were just too thick, but I guess that's to be expected in a rainforest after all.
The road noise during the day is fairly constant but it nearly disappears at night. Aside from that this is a really peaceful place to stay. We had an excellent cell signal from both Verizon and AT&T with no booster needed.

Small campground with HUGE sites. Site 3 is enormous and pretty darn level. 3 bars of straightalk. Walking distance to small convent store. The mossy trees area amazing. Little bit of traffic noise during the day but very quiet at night. Traffic noise wasn't horrible.

The next morning we moved to site 1 which was large and easy for our 34 foot fifth wheel. There are 9 sites and our rig could have fit in at least 5 of them.
Not much solar to be had in any of the spaces due to the gorgeous tall trees surrounding each site but the Verizon signal was great.
This is an excellent base camp for exploring the Hoh Rainforest section of Olympic National Park as well as Kalaloch Beaches and Ruby Beach.
The dump station in the park was closed and the only place we found water was at the national park water bottle refill station so we used it to fill a few gallon jugs. The town of Forks has a laundromat and grocery/hardware store.
Free with a $30 Washington Discovery Pass.

I agree with all the other reviews. Just want to add that I had no issues streaming netflix, etc using Verizon and/or my ATT Mobley. I rarely stay where this is not possible. Small, quaint, picturesque sort-of free campground! (Have to have the Washington $30 discovery pass.)

Road access is good, but the angle of the exit from the park back onto the hwy was too tight for our big rigs. We had to go the opposite direction on the hwy and find a place to turn around when heading back to Hwy 101.
Every site has a fixed picnic table and metal fire ring, and they are all surrounded by magnificent old growth trees dripping in moss. There is one pit toilet and no trash receptacle. You can see glimpses and hear traffic passing by from every site, but it didn't disturb our peace.
Sun doesn't reach the forest floor much, so no solar power and it gets chilly quick. But it's gorgeous and peaceful, walking distance from a great river for fishing and rock hounding, and it has awesome mobile reception (Verizon).
Discovery Pass is required, and you need to fill out a small paper registration to claim your site. I saw a warden drive through the park to check the registration box three times during my stay.
Nearest dump station is about 12 miles away at Bogachiel State Park ($7 dump fee). There is also a potable water spigot here. Nearest civilization is the town of Forks with grocery, laundry, hardware, gas, restaurants, and "Twilight" themed stuff. Try to check out Rialto Beach while you're in the area.

The campground is awesome with massive moss covered pine and maple trees. The bad thing about being under the forest canopy is you get very little solar power. This is a simple campground with a vault toilet being its only amenity. The Hoh river is right across the street and if you want you can fish or kayak here. It really is a pretty spot to camp.
The road in and campground are easily accessable. Some of the sites are tight for big rigs, you really need to hope its not full when you get there and get to pick a prime site. All these campgrounds in the area can easily fill up so its good to have a back up camp if your first choice is full. We scouted a lot of the campsites in this area and some were to tight to get our rig into, and others were full, at least the sites were we could fit.
Cell and internet reception was ok here, enough to get by.

This free with Discover Pass DNR campground is a single loop on the road to Hoh Rain Forest. No information about Minnie Peterson but she must have been a darling as is this campground. It's surprising to find a camp this close to a national park and it's empty! They've been making some improvements to the grounds here and it's a work in progress. Access to sites is very good and most would fit my 30 ft motorhome. Parking is a little wavy but fairly level. Sites are lumpy with the flattest areas under the picnic table and fire pits so pitching a tent could be tricky. The trees here are rain forest incredible with some trees 6 foot in diameter and over 10 ft at the base. However, when the wind blows things fall out of the trees and the sounds of cracking high above is uncomfortable. There is a 6 ft diameter cut log at the entrance from a recent fall.
The Hoh River is across the road but not one trail anywhere to be found.
There is an outfitter store walking distance up the road with camping supplies and tourist clothing and snacks and free coffee. A short drive up the road finds the Hard Rain Cafe.
The is a cute rustic looking pit toilet which was recently refinished. It smelled pretty bad and was full of flies. Many of the sites are surrounded with human waste and toilet paper. Some sites had trash left behind.
There is random traffic noise from being so close to the highway.
I was surprised to get a couple hours of sunlight for solar charging.
No fresh water and no dump station.
Verizon 4GLTE 3 bars and stable.

What a great little campground, far from the hustle and bustle but near enough to the Hoh Rain Forest section of Olympic National Park to make it a great place to home base from. Sites are large enough for some good sized trailers, but there are only nine all together. Mind the trees as some overhang the gravel roadway pretty low. Sites are pretty enough to shock your senses from the get-go. However, the sites are not too far off the road so you do hear the occasional car/truck, but it isn't too bad. Not really a whole lot to do here (not many trails, etc). It is a 30 minute drive to the Park and the same to get to Forks (nearest town) which isn't really a happening place anyway.
Good VZ signal, but no AT&T until you get back to HWY101.
Don't expect to get any solar. Even if the sun comes out the trees block all but a few rays anyway. Site #2 is the one with the largest opening in the trees if you lack a genny.
