We had our E bikes and rode on the trails- we turned around and gave up on the Wildlife Lane Trail- it was pretty rough/bumpy with lots of tree roots in the path. Then we rode on the Waterfowl Way Trail and it was much smoother. We saw a lot of deer on that trail. It’s a pretty ride. There’s an area that has a paved drive that is between the trailhead sign and area B that was really nice for bike riding.
We visited the visitor center and the staff members were informative and super friendly. I got my Arkansas State Parks Passport and several brochures for other state parks we will visit soon. We got a free Arkansas sticker at the visitor center.
We also visited the marina and I bought a Millwood State Park magnet. Staff members here were terrific. I wish we would have gone down earlier- there was a lake cruise we could have gone on but we arrived too late. They had a leaflet with various activities on it at the marina.
Our campsite was pretty level and well shaded. We had 30 amp service and water but no sewer- but we were only staying 1 night- so we didn’t need sewer. We took advantage of the dump station.
I would guess the park was at about 60 percent capacity during our visit. It was very peaceful and although we saw other campers, we didn’t hear much noise.
There’s a smaller Walmart less than 9 miles to the west of the park. There was a restaurant nearby called The Fishbowl (didn’t eat there- just saw it) and it’s open Thursday-Sunday 5-9 pm.

If you want to be waterfront, AAASites 16, 17, 20, 22 and 25 are the full-Hookups are your picks. Site 17 and 25 are the most sought after, and we were lucky to get 25, so book early if you can. The sites are all paved with Firepits, Grills, Table and lots of room. Our Starlink worked well looking North.
Two boat launches kept the fishing boats in and out daily, but very quiet as it's a No-Wake Zone for boats. Lots of Birds (egrets, geese) and apparently the odd Gator, but we didn't see any.
We did a tour around the entire Millwood Reservoir, taking a Hike on the White Cliff Trail at that State Park and then went to Cottonshed State Park and played a round of Disc Golf. Both of those State Parks are smaller, but offer lots of Shore fishing plus Boat Launches.
The Millwood Reservoir Dam on the Little River is located less than a Mile from the Park and a nice place to visit. The town of Ashdown has most of what you need. We stocked up on Groceries at Berkshire Store, which was beautiful and well staffed and stocked. We'd also recommend "Big Jakes BBQ" for some eat-in or take-out Smoked Meats and especially "The Original Fried Pie"
We'll stay again, and probably for longer to tour more of the area.

I would stay in the future here somewhere in campground A and of the sites which are right on the water with full hookups (16, 17, 20, 22, 24, 25). Site 1 is at the beginning of site A closest to the dam and on the outside of the loop, away from the water and close to the primitive tent camping area.
Bath houses are nice enough and located between sites 20 and 22 along the water, good space between sites, easy back in, full hookups in campground A but only water and electricity in B (I think, we didn't camp there). Our site had a picnic table, a lantern hook, a fire pit and an above ground metal grill. It was well maintained except for a slow drip from our water connection (on the supply side, not our rig).
4g LTE on Tmobile was low bars but generally had (somewhat slow) service when we needed it. It was fine for calls, email and some low level work from the road needs. For video calls we had to leave the park. When we went down by the water to sit on the swing and look at the lily pads we had good coverage so the water front sites may have better coverage. That speed tested at 9 Mbps.
ATT hotspot in truck had trouble once inside the park grounds. While we officially had 1 bar and sometimes 2, it was mostly unusuable because the speeds were so low. We don't have a booster but I think that would have made a difference for both.
About 4 nice swings down by the water to enjoy the sunrise/sunset or even the afternoon by the water, even if you aren't at a waterfront site.

We enjoyed watching all the people fishing and bringing in their catch after boating, kids riding their bikes/playing, and met some really nice people. The park had security riding thru all the time who were so friendly. The facilities were immaculate with workers coming by to check-in and thoroughly cleaning/maintaining the area. When we drove out we really got to enjoy the beauty of the park. I wish I had taken more photos to share.

We recently sold our 40’ vintage GMC coach conversion and were traveling with family in their 29’ class c, so it could be my perspective but I found this park to be incredibly easy to navigate. Paved and level spaces that include a separate paved parking spot for your toad. All spaces are just a stone’s throw from the lake. Fire pit, grill, and lantern hook at all sites. Well kept, individual shower/ bathrooms. Some sites with full hookups, some with electric and water.
