We were in a pinch with vehicle trouble and on a Friday night we felt fortunate to get a spot here based on the reviews of the other campgrounds in the area.
You have amazing views of the mighty Mississippi right out your back window at site 46a but if you look left or right you are staring mere feet from your neighbors camper or at your neighbors in their chairs.
46A shares the picnic table and fire ring area with site 46 which is cool, I guess, but not if it's not your jam.
There was an amazingly bright, maybe the brightest street light in all of Dubuque, that was on all night and added to the restless of the night.
Ironically, almost everyone we talked with who was camped here, were extremely happy with it and seemed to be having a great time! These close of quarters with camper parked next to camper aren't our thing but in a pinch we were grateful for it.
Getting to or from the campground crosses very busy train tracks and we were stuck in traffic towing our airstream both times so watch for those and it's through their downtown business area so traffic can back up.

Located in the casino industrial fringe of Dubuque, right on the river as others note. I wasn't overly impressed. Site was so-so, fairly crowded and either restless campers or locals drove the road in front us us endlessly. One old beater Buick went by 5 times that I counted. Showers are FAR from campsites and were pretty gross (women's was so funky, my husb stood guard while I used the somewhat cleaner men's). Noisy, "stupid" campfires (the kind where rookies squirt lighter fluid on it and burn lumber). Not the best experience, after loving everything else about Dubuque so much. The river is kind of stinky. Some sites had nice shade trees and people looked settled in for days (if not longer), but the noise of barges, trains, trucks on overhead highway bridge nearby, and cruising car radios didn't make for a peaceful place. The camp host even blares loud commercial radio from his camper's external speakers at the office, which is luckily adjacent to the faraway showers.

We stayed at Miller Riverview Park 07/26 & 07/27/2022. There were many places on our long journey up the Great River Road for spectacular views of the Mississippi and its traffic. But this park provided one of the best! Parked only feet from the waters edge, barges and pleasure boats passed in front of our site. Upstream we could just view the East end of Lock & Dam #11 and downstream the green arch of the US-61 bridge. And across the water, the wooded shore and golden bluffs of Wisconsin. (Don't miss the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium, only minutes away in downtown Dubuque.) Oh, yeah, the park: Our site a long gravel back-in, very level. A & B sites share electric pedestal and ours is on the wrong side, but still reachable with standard 30a cable. (Could have solved that by pulling in rather than backing in, if not unhooking.) It is possible for non-campers to drive through the camp site area, but most of these appeared to be fishermen going to the North tip of the island. We saw regular park maintenance activity and ranger patrol during our stay.

Must reserve spot online but well worth it. We chose one that did not have anyone within 3 spots and it stayed hat way for 3 mid week nights. Very peaceful, right on the bike trail and a clear view of the Mississippi. Easy biking to downtown Dubuque.

Bathrooms/showers were clean except once when another camper trashed it, but was cleaned by next morning. The spots are close in sets of 2. One on either side of the power post. We rarely had anyone near us. Biking trail was very nice and well kept. There is dump and fresh water at the entrance. It's right on the river so makes for a great view first thing in the morning. It is gravel pads and most need a lot of leveling and is the onky reason I give a 4 star.

We love the history of Dubuque and desired to stay and explore the community from this central location along the river. The park has the perfect view of the Mississippi River and the close proximity to the downtown area makes it almost perfect.
During our five day stay, we did not see a single patrol or park supervisor come through, there is no host to watch over any of the activities. Some of the locals got way out of control on Friday night and many were just passing through and bothering some campers.
The property was in need of mowing, and clean-up. The bathrooms and showers need attention, see through shower curtains in the showers are less then ideal and shower heads are missing.

This is a cool little park. It’s right on the river and is a no frills kind of place. Views are really cool, and it’s adjacent to the dog track/casino/hotel and restaurant. But, you’d never know if you didn’t drive past them on the way in. Sites could use a little TLC, but the view makes up for it. The sites are also pretty tight- the map really does a good job of showing the spacing. Our site was probably the biggest, but it wasn’t right on the water. It didn’t matter for our view! The barges went through and the trains pass on the other side of the river. Kinda cool. The bath house was functional and the showers were really hot. Nothing fancy by any means. The potable water hose laid on the ground all weekend- I wouldn’t drink the water that you fill with. There isn’t much to do here, except fish, bike/walk, small playground for kids, or watch the River boats. But, it’s a busy little campground, with the River and views. We spent most of our time exploring Dubuque- which was really fun! This campground is like a little hidden gem, right in the city.
