We enjoyed our two night stay at this peaceful state park. Easy to find. Large, level site with lots of trees and view of lake. Perfect place to learn our new rig.

We enjoyed three nights at the Sandhill Loop. Sites are well spaced. Lengths vary, we noticed a couple sites where the tow vehicle barely fit it with the trailer, although most sites are sufficiently long for any vehicle. Electric and water pressure are good. We drove through the other loop, and much prefer Sandhill. It is much closer to the entrance, while still being far enough from the main highway that there is no road noise. Campsites at Sandhill were larger and better spaced, and some of the sites at Lakeview are on a very rough dirt road. The only drawback is that the sole dump station is located next to Lakeview. If you have a larger rig and are coming from Sandhill, you may have to go into Lakeview and around the loop, to approach the dump station from that side, rather than trying to make the tight turn. We saw people out and about visiting the park, but it was never crowded. The park facilities were spacious and clean. Altogether a pleasant stay.

Campground is very quiet, and designated night sky viewing. Sites are better than average, but not level. Sand and stone sites. Only 30 amp. Our site had water hookup on one side, and water on the other. Pull thru site across from restroom. Restrooms clean, laundry $2.09 each wash and dry. Tons of walking, hiking, and biking.

A nice state park woodsy feel for sure. Our site was quite sandy and a bit unlevel after some rain, but it worked. The road getting to our particular site was a bit rough too, but again, we made it fine. We were able to walk from our site on some nearby trails and explore around the park. A fun few days.
