Overall Rating
Area was very clean and easy to get in and out of. The only concern was the sign stating venomous snakes were in the area. Had to keep an eye on my dog
and even then, I felt a little leary.
Felt very safe being a solo traveler. Very noisy being right next to freeway.

“Closed due to COVID”

Tried staying here, it’s open to semi’s only. Whole rest stop is closed, only has porta johns for semi’s. Moved down the road a bit to twin arrows, about 20 minutes further.

Sign on I-40 said rest area was closed but we saw trucks and cars pulling into the area. We pulled our 23-ft RV in, parked and walked the dog about. We did not use restrooms or dumpsters. No hookups.

Beautiful rest area 40 miles east of Flagstaff Arizona. Very busy with trucks. if you go to the very end of the rest area there is an open dirt or gravel parking area that is relatively flat and wide open near the dumpsters.

Stayed for 5 nights here. Pretty good cell signal. I parked at the back in the overflow area. Never really crowded. Portajons, all facilities closed for renovations. Was shooed out and went to Two Arrows Casino for another 4 nights. On to Quarzsite today.
