We stayed overnight 04/24/2024. We were the only campers there. Small campground. 2-3 sites for RV’s and a couple for tents. This is an oasis in the desert. The springs fill a few ponds and water the trees. There is a pit toilet. Good stop for a night.

We have a 35’ Class A and the roads here were a bit rustic to say the least. We followed GPS directions from Malta SW, only to pull a 10 point turn with our rig on 77. Took the advice of another reviewer to enter from North of Malta via Tilfer Ln that seemed a bit better than where GPS wanted me to go. Smaller rigs would have no problem getting here, but our jacks did touch ground on one of the dips in the dirt road, which wasn’t ideal. We are full timers who boondock about 90% of the time and truth be told, this isn’t that exciting compared to where we’ve been. Just our 2 cents as we pack up the day after and head for somewhere else.
Lastly, the flies here are insane. All of our screens had at least 2 dozen flies on them upon pulling in. Anytime we’d take the dog out we would have a new swarm inside. Doesn’t help there are cattle everywhere around us with lots of cow pies to traverse.

Great stop. The road is packed with gravel for 99% of the trip here. Turning through the first gate/cattle crossing off of the highway is a little tight, and there’s a few washout dips. The trees provide some shelter from any wind. You can see I84 off in the distance but you certainly can’t hear here. Solid Verizon service.

This is a typical BLM site. Be prepared with everything you might need. There is a vault toilet and people have thrown trash down it, so don’t be those people. It’s about 6.5 miles off of a paved road on a well maintained gravel road, if you follow the GPS directions in the dark. I was pulling a little 15 foot trailer and didn’t have any problems. Otherwise it’s a good stopping site between the National Parks in Utah and the PNW.

There was only one other vehicle there when we camped and that was a retired couple that have spent between 3 to 9 months a year traveling for the past 14 years. I suggest entering from the road (Tiffler Road) 3 miles north of Malta ID. Don't trust Google Maps on getting there since it wanted to take me down a very primitive road.
We had good cell service via Google Fi.
