We chose to stay here because of the proximity to the San Francisco ferry, and it met that need. It is basically a parking lot with pretty tight spaces. There are a number of long term residents here as evidenced by the collections of belongings outside of their RVs. It is also right next to the highway, so there is constant traffic noise. You can see the San Quentin prison from the dog walking area behind the RV park (it’s across the bay), which is interesting.

This place has a specific purpose - to allow people to park up for a few nights and explore San Francisco. It does that really well.
It’s safe. It’s clean. It’s walking distance to the ferry for downtown. It’s efficient to check in. Etc
But boy are you crammed in. There is zero privacy. There is no character at all and it’s expensive.

It is just a large gravel lot. The sites are tight. We had to park the truck so close to the RV that we couldn’t open the propane door. I was surprised that there wasn’t a locked entrance gate given that it is next to a city known for car break-ins. But we left our RV for 2 weeks while doing a side trip and there were no issues. There is a tall wooden fence all around the property, just not at the entrance or exit, and they are almost at the dead end of the street. They won’t take packages at the office - but UPS etc trucks can deliver directly to your RV. If I was visiting SF again I might stay here again because of the convenience and it seems better than the other options.

Stayed during the COVID pandemic - they were taking all of the precautions. Some seasonal/regulars, but for the transitional sites they blocked off every other one to allow for social distancing. Tight spaces but it's right on a bird sanctuary. We were able to get an end spot, which was great. There were several workers who lived across the way - they left early in the morning but were quiet (as quiet as possible) as they left for the day. My daughters and I spent several hours hiking around and searching for the beautiful cranes and other birds that live in the sanctuary - it was so peaceful! Also within walking distance to the ferry into San Francisco. Definitely would stay there again. Clean and secure. Large laundry room (don't remember the specific amount paid for laundry, but it wasn't outrageous), keyed access to the bathroom/showers. There is a pool but it's teeny tiny - we didn't try it out - but saw other kiddos in there while we were there. Very close to a Trader Joe's.

30 mins away from the City. A bit pricy but that is to be expected in SF. Clean facilities but make no mistake about it... this is a parking lot with hook ups and the sites are in arms length in proximity to each other. It is well worth it as one can be in the city within 30mins. We will def stay here again.

You’re basically paying $50 to park on concrete with access to hook ups and facilities. The big bonus is that it is close to the ferry do you have access to San Francisco, but these prices Are a bit too much. Staff was really nice

Pros: felt very safe, really nice owners, walkable to grocery stores, a cute shopping center, and the ferry to SF. It was a good home base for a few months.
Cons: I know it's the bay area, but this just felt like highway robbery. The long term rate was $1500/mo (plus electricity!) during off season. Daily rate is twice that ($100/night). You pay for a very small, very tight, gravel parking spot. Your neighbors are about 7 feet away from each side of your trailer. No grass, no picnic table, just gravel. The place itself is right off the highway in a not-so-nice area. A lot of traffic noise. VERY hard to back into sites (90 degree turn with narrowish road). Laundry facilities were very old W/D for $5 per wash and about $3 per dry.
Other options in the area are just as expensive and appeared much more run down, and I know supply/demand requires this buttttt they could make it a bit nicer for the price paid. I would only recommend if you're stopping by to spend time in SF or if you're working in the area. Not the type of place you want to hang out at all day.

This is just like other people have stated: A convenient place to stay to be able to take the Larkspur Ferry into San Francisco. It is clean, well run, nice bathrooms, and a laundry area. The sites are very tight. But the big thing is the ease of getting into San Francisco. The ferry is right next door, about a 15 minute walk. We never did the walk. Decided to see if we could find parking space in the ferry lot. We checked it out and saw open spots so we came back to the RV, got our stuff ready to hit the city and then drove back to the lot. We parked there the two days we visited the city. Parking is only $2 a day in the ferry parking lot and after 1pm it is free. It is also free on the weekends. Plenty of parking available after 1 on the Friday we were there and tons on Saturday. Made it nice not to have to walk back to the campgrounds at night in the dark after having toured all day. The ferry ride is great. Comfortable and you get to go right by San Quentin. SO if you can't make Alcatraz you can still see a prison pretty close up!!
You can buy your ferry tickets at the machines located outside the terminal and people are so nice to help you if you just ask someone standing in line (like I did). Catch the F line trolley right outside the Ferry Terminal to go to Fisherman's Wharf (a LONG walk). People will be standing and waiting by the trolley tracks. It is only $1.35 for seniors. You have to have the exact change. No change given back.
