We booked here last minute and due to the time of the year we were thankfully able to secure a spot. The staff is friendly and they are clearly working to make improvements to the park. Our site is not waterfront but because no one is in front of us we have water views. At night once the traffic of the PCH calms down you can hear the waves crashing below. They don’t have a dog park but have several nice dog walks. The hill up into the park is steep and do not follow RV life when it tells you (if driving south on the PCH) to drive past it and make a u-turn. You can cross with no issue into the driveway. Definitely a beautiful spot especially off season!

Check-in was a breeze, the staff was helpful, and the views can’t be beat. Take the trail down to some delicious seafood at a roadside restaurant, set up on the beach for some sun, or do some hiking in the hills. Yes, it’s expensive and cramped, but it’s Malibu.

Overpriced. Payed $ 240 for One Night. Didn’t Like The Spot. Downgraded But Got No Money Back, Even It Was A Same Day Reservation. Staff Not Willing To Accommodate Another Nice Spot. Just Money Grab. Won’t Stay There Again.

And despite plenty of space in our spot to park they charged my son between $15-$20 per day to come in and visit (not stay). I just felt like at $350/night (RV+ tow+ 1 pet) that should have been enough. Didn’t see many families or kids. Lots, lots of rules which I understand but it was a little over the top. The location is nice. Heads up if your coming in from the North on Hwy 1 you will have to go passed and find a place to make a U-turn.

We stayed for 4 nights at the Malibu Beach RV Park. I was pretty excited when we booked it even though it had a hefty price per night due to the proximity to the ocean. We’ve had our trailer for about 2 years now and have yet to camp close to the coast.
We arrived after a long 4 hour drive and were greeted by who I assume was the manager/owner. My husband got out to do the check in process and when he went to get our paperwork the manager slapped his hand away and was incredibly rude. As we drove to our site I realized just how tight it was and while we’ve gotten a lot better at backing into sites, this site was very small. We have a 20’ trailer and this was advertised as a 22’ site. It barely fit our trailer.
Once we got into the spot, the manager/owners partner came over to tell us we had to move closer to the left side so we had more “living space”. This living space was about 6’ and right next to our neighbor’s sewer line. Neither of us really thought we’d spend time there but he insisted so we tried to move closer to the left. After getting the trailer good enough for our liking, he had the audacity to say “this a new thing for you?” And then insisted we keep trying to get closer to the left side of the site. Every time we’ve had a slight struggle into a spot, whoever is around helps us. Saying passive aggressive comments like that isn’t helpful. Eventually he gave up on watching us after a few more rude comments and left. After a mediocre site and horrible experience with the managers, we won’t be back. Not worth the price or hassle.

THE GOOD
Staff: Very nice folks and really helpful.
Secure: No folks are getting into the campground unless they are staying there.
Peaceful: Fairly quiet in the evening and overnight. Mainly hear the waves crashing. You actually do not hear the traffic that much, but we were backed up the opposite side from the ocean, so maybe the ocean view sites hear it more.
Location: It's Malibu. Beautiful everywhere you go and generally close to anything you need. The Malibu hills are immediately behind the campground. The beach is across the street. Malibu Seafood (restaurant) is a 2 minute walk down the path from the campground. Gas station within 5 min.
Grounds: Clean and nicely maintained!
Office/Store: Good sized store. Some grocery items and a good amount of RV stuff.
Facilities: Laundry and showers are fairly nice.
Wifi: Campground wifi is pretty darn good for a campground.
Cell: Both AT&T and Verizon were good. Verizon was stronger than AT&T.
THE BAD:
Sites: Many of the sites are fairly short. So, you need to park in the overflow parking, unless you can fit your vehicle next to your rig without going into the road in any way. I appreciate that they stay on top of everyone's parking. But, it is worth noting because of the parking scenario (below).
Parking: The overflow parking area is across from a row of back-in sites. Most of those back-ins essentially have their trailer's hitch/coupler right at the edge of the road. So, when those folks need to hitch up again, there is little to no room between them and your parked vehicle.

Yes there is the PCH below but at night siting outside by fire pit I could hear the ocean clearly. Sites were good size. Appreciate the small fence next to the sewer line so you neighbor’s table isn’t right next to sewer. Staff were all very friendly. Sat out on the resort patio for sunset it was very comfortable. We will definitely return.
