Overall Rating

Great value for $20, full hookups, grass or crushed asphalt sites – fairly level. Missed the entrance coming from the north. Look for fairground buildings. Lower rating because the bathrooms are quite a hike (west) from the actual campground and they’re disgusting. Seems a number of rigs are left here without anyone occupying them. Watch out if they’re cutting grass, a guy came within 5’ of me and hit me with debris. Must suck to hate your job that much.

Overall Rating

This campground is adjacent to/part of the Macon County Fairgrounds, so you probably wouldn’t be able to stay there during the fair. There are full hook-ups and a very basic restroom with a clean and adequate shower with plentiful hot water. We stayed there in mid-October and there were only a handful of campers.
