Pros: It is centrally located in Coos Bay, two blocks off Highway 101 and in walking distance to two major grocery stores. The entire park is comprised of asphalt, with level sites and both 30 and 50 amp full hookups, though no cable. There is a laundry room, small game room, men and women’s bathroom and coke machine. Reservation and billing system is automated and efficient.
Cons: Sites are stacked on top of each other, tight fit for larger rigs, no shade, no views, no pool and it is NOT a resort. The majority of the sites are made up of full-time working residents with predominately large trucks, trailers, boats and motorcycles. This is nothing more than a RV parking lot which is owned an managed by RV Inn Style Resorts. Nothing more than an overnight and off in the morning stay at best.
We arrived on a Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. and left on Friday during which time the office remained closed and no staff was found to be on site. We had previously advised that we had a very important Amazon delivery scheduled for the day of arrival and couldn’t locate the delivery. We then learned the park does NOT accept any USPS or other deliveries and had to track our package down at the post office itself. You need to download the Prempoint app to access the very limited amenities, laundry, small game room and bathroom. Tried doing laundry and lost $5.00 in two different washing machines that were inoperative and dared not to try any other machines.
The attached photographs accurately depict our site and note, neither of the two trucks parked directly next to our entrance/exit door belonged to us.

“OK for overnight. Crappy campground in a bad area of town.”

Homeless all around the area, almost non-existent management, dubious long term residents, but otherwise a great location. Seriously ... it is close to town, the river walk, restaurants and shopping. Just not much of an RV Park. I left a day early and will not be back.

Large parking lot with little to no trees. Amenities suck - no pool, wifi didn’t work, and the “dog area” was a small square patch of grass so nowhere to let them off leash. Park was full of full timers yelling at their kids. Surrounding area full of homeless. We ended up leaving early.

Grass only for dogs across from our spot. The bathrooms are very clean but only one shower. ½ rvs are resident rvs but they are not trashy. Walking distance to Safeway and Fred Meyer. Staff very friendly and helpful. Park is on Johnson and 101, tucked behind/beside Safeway. I LIKE IT! Thank you Turk for recommending to us.

We were looking for a small town to spend a month - our rate was a monthly rate. This RV park is within walking distance of coffee shops and restaurants and has easy access to the coast. Our site backed right up to the train yard. During the week the trains are loud. It appears that one side of the park is for folks who are passing through and the other side is for permanent residents. Coos Bay area has organized festivals and activities throughout the summer months. Sites worth checking out - Wednesday Farmers Market, movies at the Egyptian theatre, Horsefal Beach/Sand Dunes, 7 Devils Brewery, Sunset Bay State Park/Beach, trails along the cliffs to Cape Arago, Sea plane tour, Mingus Park. There is also a great running community in Coos Bay - South Coast Running Club. Wonderful group of people that meet to run several times a week. Our experience was positive. However, we would often get a raised eyebrow from the locals when we told them where we were staying.
Story is Our Way Home would stay here again
