The reservations-only Wyo State Park cluster#$%^ strikes again, in a place with no cell signal. Fortunately, the camp host had his shingle out with a wifi name and password, then came outside and told us not to worry, just pick an empty site and pay by envelope at the front, he would go online and record our site so that no one else could reserve. We were able to pass this along to another exhausted and confused couple who arrived while we we were out walking later. Gorgeous place, but literally on the side of a very busy highway. Our site #12 had a view of the river and of the RR and highway tunnels through the mountain. We heard one train, traffic was steady til about dark then slacked off and really didn't bother us overnight at all. For zero amenities (ok, maybe there is a pit toilet, we didn't go in there, and there was water available only for containers, not RVs, no dump) this is a lot of money but it was our only option. The wifi was shockingly good. No cell signal at all.

Beautiful views, lots of noise. Situated on the bank of Wind River, also between a not very active BNSF railway track and a very busy highway right next to three tunnels so expect honking horns. Traffic noise dies off after 2200.
Sites very level with potable water hydrants a short walk from every spot.
Active wildlife, a turkey hen and her three chicks wandered through the campsites. A flock of buzzards roost in a cottonwood tree adjacent to site 4.
There are plenty of places for access to the river.
No cell service.
There’s a restaurant and bait shop at the marina that’s open from 0900-1500.

Luckily, I had previously made a reservation. Wyoming is using : https://wyomingstateparks.reserveamerica.com
I’m a tech person and have to say, trying to make an online reservation is a challenge. Oh, and they charge you $8 to make the reservation.
The really odd thing is that the website said sites were not available and no one showed up at those sites. Maybe they’re reserving them for the campground host to try and help people. I personally saw her try and get people sites.
Campground:
Small - no hookups - right along the Highway and the river. Beautiful views.
Watch for low hanging trees. The turnaround is very tight. Also, over our site was a very low hanging wire. Maybe 13’.
We’re in a small class A towing our little car. Had to disconnect for a back in site. Not sure but I think I was supposed to pay more for the car?

The campground is quiet, other than maybe a train across the river at night. It is very well kept and they irrigate the grass every night.
The only drawback is no cell phone coverage for about 15 miles. We went down the canyon to a pullout right after it opened up to get cell coverage to check messages, email and do the work we needed to do. Honestly, it was really NICE not having cell phones to worry about for a day or so.
We will definitely stay here again. One note, pay attention to the lot sizes. There are a few that are pretty small. Ours was a pull through and no issue, other than it took all the blocks I had to get her leveled.

Very sweet spot in a desolate part of Wyoming. We were dreading our stop here but were pleasantly surprised. Lots of cottonwoods, irrigated grass lawns, hardly anyone here. A little noisy by the nearby highway and train tracks but fine for an overnight stay. Good dump station with fresh water.
