This Love’s RV Hook Up is right off I-29. We’ve enjoyed several stays at these new Love’s campgrounds (CG) and they are normally away from the main car and truck fueling areas. After cruising around the truck area, we found that we needed to go to the car area as the CG is literally off the auto-side fuel pumps/parking lot. There is a lane that we could have driven through from the truck area and this would've put us in the right position to back into our site. However, there was a Love's fuel truck parked there the whole time of our stay. There are six back-in sites with water and electric. They give you a code if you want to use the dump station. We reserved site 1 with water and electric (50/30/20 AMP). It still could have been an easy back-in but there was a big U-Haul truck parked outside of the formal parking areas in our path. We were still able to maneuver around and get in our site. After parking, we checked in online to activate our utilities. We quickly found out when we auto-leveled that site 1 was not a level site as our passenger side tires were off the ground. And whoever designed these sites thought boulders between sites was a good idea? We had to position our rig to avoid a boulder on the pad, so that we could open our basement slide drawer. The utilities are at the far backside of the pad and based on our rig’s configuration with the wet bay towards the front, we needed 25’ or more of hose and electric cord. The water pressure here is good. The WiFi is also for general public use and not very fast. We got 3 bars on Verizon and used our MiFi for internet as we were not comfortable putting out Starlink in this general public area. We were next to Love’s two-sided dog park, which if not for dog poop on the inside and around the outside would have been a great convenience. Concerning the uncomfortable comment, two stealth campers in cars were in parking spaces adjacent to our site for the night. We shared the CG with a Scottish Rugby cycling team traversing the USA raising AHS awareness. We did not know that starting around 6:00 AM the sprinklers came on and all of their gear got wet. The sprinklers also make mud puddles at the dog park entrance. Loves should gravel the small and large dog entrances. There should also be signs to let campers know about the sprinklers. The other Love’s RV Stops we stayed in had restroom and shower facilities, here you go in the main building and pay to use the trucker showers. The dump station is hard to get into with a large rig. Wrapping up this unpleasant stay, this Love’s was one up on a Walmart parking lot as it had water and electric.

{Dates Stayed: June 20-23, 2024}Love’s Travel Centers started adding RV spaces at a couple locations about 3yrs ago or so. We’ve never had the opportunity to stay at one until now. This Love’s is listed as an ‘Open Roads’ discount station. It is very basic with only 6 concrete back-ins separated by nice lawn, but no separate fencing between the TS & the RV’s. Sites only provide water & electric (30 & 50amp) but there is a dump station. They have a really nice dog park with fencing for small & large dogs. Due to use & drainage issue the entrances to both dog sections is muddy so a little gravel would help mitigate that. Showers & restrooms share with the TS. The showers were designed for the truckers so it’s by reservation and pay to use. There are security cameras all over, but still, it’s a truck stop. Probably not for a long term stay but ok for overnights. Would only stay again if for an overnight.

It’s exactly what you imagine. A place to sleep for a fair price in a noisy environment. We weren’t bothered by the noise but if you are you might wanna pass. It served it purpose exactly as we hoped and will use them again for sure.

While I’ve paid much less for similar the convenience of it offset the cost. Its simple clean place to stay Thats Right off an exit. Typically on travel days All I need is a place to park, it was still pretty warm (early August) so it’s was either “pay to stay” or run the generator. Fuel prices being what they are it is not any cheaper to run the generator. So until I get the solar/lithium setup installed in the new to me Rv summer boonedocking has been limited..
I’ve seen several of the loves overnight rv parking at various locations No two are the same probably due to the real estate they have to work with. This one was a little odd with the concrete pad and half gravel arrangement. Even so, I was able to park my 40’ diesel class A fully on pavement and park my jeep in front (all 6 spots are back in parking) i did have to unhook but no biggie I wanted to go to the store anyway.. parking is nearly level no problems setting up.
This location looks to be brand new as the sod was fresh and very wet, due to recent rain plus the sprinklers going mad!
I definitely appreciated the dog park being right next to the parking area. It was super nice and New, although due to rain and fresh sod/dirt it was a little muddy. I think overall after everything settles in it will turn out well.
If you haven’t used the love’s rv parking yet you can reserve ahead of time at the CampLife.com website if your “planner type”
The WiFi worked great, no issues with the 50amp service, good water pressure overall a cheap simple convenient place to stop for the night.
Again a Warning the only thing NOT included was the use of the dump station that’s a extra 10$ I passed on that as I had emptied tanks the day before. If you need the use of the dump it’s not listed on the self serve kiosk you have to go in to the store and get them to unlock it.
Mom and Son Rv would stay here again
