“Beautiful place / people problems”

Gorgeous, relatively remote place, the problem is people-related.
1. There is a large camp, I believe some sort of religious camp. They have a large building that separates their area from the tent and vehicle campers. The problem is that they run electricity -- but have no power. Therefore their electricity comes from large gasoline generator/s -- which they place away from their own sleeping area because it's so noisy -- and directed right at your tent site. They also take over the swimming area when it's their swim time.
2. Proselytizing must be one of their merit badges -- little and big crosses strewn EVERYWHERE. In this day and age, slightly intimidating -- especially in a publicly-owned property. If there is a ranger or caretaker, he or she needs to do their job and keep that group in check.

“Well maintained, but busy and not very many lake sites.”

Lost Lake is a small remote mountain lake surrounded by cabins and campgrounds. In addition to the National Forest campground, there are adjacent group camps, a church retreat and community retreat camps. The location is great but the proximity to the retreats ruins the feeling of isolation.
Access to the lake is via paved Forest Service road connecting to US Hwy 20.
The sites are spacious and well spaced. No hook-ups are available. There are several water spigots throughout the campground, several vault toilets, and one flush toilet facility. No showers. There is no cell service.
Pros:
Quiet during the off-season.
Well maintained.
Cons:
Busy and noisy during popular weekends and whenever the retreat is active.
Very few lake-front sites - the campground loop extends away from the lake.
