Don’t camp in the lot 75-104 loop. Very tightly packed compared to the main campground. Also not well level. Great hikes and well maintained

Nice, quiet campground with sites spaced apart. The views and trails were awesome. Our site was very clean - a staff member personally grooms (rakes) the small gravel area next to the asphalt pad prior to each arrival. The pad was somewhat narrow with a 3' sloped (with rocks) drop off on either side. It was a little challenging to walk around our RV and get into the storage and propane compartments but we managed. NOTE: read carefully when making reservations. I thought each site had partial hookups, but only about half do. I mistakenly booked a dry site, so we're basically tent camping. Dry sites are $25 and hookup sites are $35. Generator hours are limited so I'm needing to turn off my refrigerator at night in order to use the furnace (I only have 2 100a lead-acid batteries). This was my own fault. I have multiple sim cards for internet. Sprint was the best with 3 bars and about 50-65 Mbps download on band 41.

We’ve been coming to Lost Dutchman since we stumbled upon it it 2014. It’s one of our favorite places to camp in south-central AZ. The spots vary with the lower numbered spots being larger and more spread out than the more recently added higher number spots but there are few bad spots in the campground. On this trip we couldn’t reserve a single spot for the entire time so we moved around but it was easily done by letting the volunteers know we were moving to another er spot later in the morning - they would coordinate and let us know when the spot was ready so we could move directly. We stayed on spot 58 (small and at the corner of the roads), 98 (in a newer part of the park so the spacing is a little tighter but still nice), 25 (a really great spot for sunsets), and finally 59 which is a no hookups spot but has a ton of room for multiple large tents in addition to the RV pad.
The best spots in our opinion are the ones at the southern edge of the park as they have unobstructed views of the sunsets and tons of space. But at no time did we feel encroached upon. Super nice people and one of the best kept state parks we’ve been in.
My only complaint is not with the park but with the multitude of weekend hikers wearing no masks and bunching up on the trails and being rude when asked to make room - but that was fortunately rare.
AT&T coverage was 1 bar of their So-called 5Ge which got to 2 bars with a WeBoost and 30Mbps download speeds - good enough to watch the SFJazz live stream on Xmas day of the Charlie Brown jazz special.

Gorgeous views and great hiking! The park was very clean and peaceful. We enjoyed a great hike up Superstition Mountain and were having such a nice time here that we extended our stay 2 more nights. Cell service is a bit spotty but the sunsets and sunrises can’t be beat. We would absolutely stay here again.

They solution had a site that fit us, and probably could've squeezed into a few more.
The skies were gorgeous every single night, and the views of the Superstition Mountains were amazing. It was completely dark and quiet by 8pm, mostly due to the fire bans due to poor air quality, but it really felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, which is perfect for us!
There are Javelina (wild boars), which we saw a few times, but they weren't confrontational at all.
The rangers were SO nice, the sites were very well maintained, and the dual sides dump station was great and kept the lines short.
They were completely full every single day, so if you want a spot definitely make reservations in advance.

The best attributes of this park are its close proximity to the Superstition Mountains which provides fantastic views and some good hiking, particularly the Siphon Draw via Flatiron trail. The trail gets progressively harder the farther and higher up you go. The park is not far from many amenities and there is some touristy stuff nearby too. The electric sites have water and 30/50 amp service. However, some of the sites (pull-thrus) are a bit odd regarding how they are designed and laid out with the water /electric on the opposite side of the site that you’d expect. As such, you may find your RV door and awning facing the street as opposed to the views. This can easily be rectified by turning your RV around and routing your electric and water lines under the RV, but then you will find the electric and water outside your front door depending on how your RV is designed. I’d recommend using Google Maps and zoom in to see where the electric and water pedestal is located. I didn’t see this to be a major problem, but more of an oddity and small inconvenience.
Additionally, if you have any dependency on Verizon connectivity (personal or business), this IS NOT the place for you. You will experience extended periods of virtually no throughput, especially if you’re on a prepaid account. You can/will go from 6-8mb to .01-.70mb download speeds in a blink of an eye. This was the case on a prepaid jetpack, postpaid jetpack, and iPhone LTE data. When traffic was slow, it made no difference if I used a weBoost cell booster or a Netgear MIMO antenna. Literally in seconds, traffic would drop from respectable to less than dial-up speeds. When Verizon cut or rerouted the throughput, it happened quickly. Even using a post-paid account, most of the time, the bandwidth here is barely good enough for email, and some web page surfing, but large portion of the time it’s useless for anything else. I got a short window first thing in the morning and sometimes late at night where it was acceptable. For extended periods of time on pre-paid, I could see speeds at 80-90kps or even lower, which is less than dial-up speed and incredibly surprising from America’s #1 wireless provider to deliver such poor service in a major metropolitan area. On post-paid, it was much better, but it’s all relative with speeds regularly of .40-.70mb, which is hardly anything to brag about. Even on a postpaid account, I would describe it as variable, marginally and unpredictable. It’s almost hard to believe and I wouldn’t believe it had I not seen it for myself day after day while here at the park for two weeks. So, if you depend on Verizon for connectivity, be advised. If you have no dependency on connectivity, this is a nice clean quiet park with great views.

The showers were clean and enjoyed walking my 3 dogs around the paved road. Very quiet at night and you can see Phoenix off in the distance. As much as I enjoy being remote, it was fun to watch the sun set over the city sky.
We did hike the Siphon Trail which was stunning and fun. We did not make it to the top.
AT&T had decent coverage. Calls would cut in and out but data was 20-40mbps down. Up speeds struggled around 1-2 mbps.

Site 124 was the best that we stayed in and was wide enough, but site 122 was a bit too narrow; both were back-in sites and pretty level. The BEST site was pull-thru #123 with nothing between you and the mountain view. Generators can be run from 8-10am and 5-7pm each day. Hiking was superb; trails were rocky. Never visited the bathrooms. 10-15 minute drive into town.
