There is another large spot on the left immediately after. There is also a huge parking? area that had a fire pit (if you rely on solar). The gps coordinates take you as far as we went before turning around (someone was in this large spot-also good for solar). Thankfully it was just a car there so we were able to turn the TT around (30ft). The road passed this spot was covered in large rocks.
This is a tent campers dream! So many awesome spots! Great for vans too (if you do not rely on solar)
The spot we stayed had a large fire pit and then another by the creek. Someone has made a few ‘swimming pools’ along the bank- which is pretty cool but the water is ice cold! There was a lot of tp around, and looks like 2 honey buckets were left in the woods (empty, I think). We were able to level side to side without blocks.
Road coming in was decent. Typically FS road, some areas had pretty bad potholes but nothing you can’t just take it slow through. Little washboard.
Saw a trailhead or 2 on the road. There is also a lookout point off one of the side roads. Sun Point lookout, I believe it was called.
We did have an odd encounter coming in, a woman who appeared to be very angry flipped us off. Not sure if it was from dusting her out (obviously didn’t try it, kinda hard not to make any dust) or not because she was flipping us off before we even reached her...I was actually waving. Almost turned us off from past experiences, but everyone else that drove by seemed nice and waved!
All in all we would return!

We camped near this location last weekend and had a fantastic experience. We found a rather large spot to camp at that had lots of space to spread out and roam around. There were several little paths through the brush to explore mushrooms, moss, and interesting plants. There was also a great path down to the river where it was gorgeous and misty over the rushing water. There were no other campers nearby so we were able to let the dogs have free reign of the camp spot. There was a rock fire ring from prior campers and little to no garbage (other than tiny plastic, bright yellow bb gun pellets). Not much traffic on the road beside the campsite other than people going hunting in the morning and returning in the evening.
The forest service road is very well maintained and there were several spots along the way that looked like great options. It was a rainy weekend, so we rejected a couple of the more choice spots due to muddy spots on an decline to get down to the campsite. We weren't sure our camper van would have issues getting back up the muddy incline so we opted for a more easily accessible spot. Overall, this was a great spot and I wish we had had more time to stay there. Can confirm, would go back in a heartbeat.
mohay would stay here again

Just headed out from three days of hiking in Mt. Rainier National Park and needed a close place to stay for the night since it was getting later and a long drive home. We found a spot right off of 410 three roads to get into it and ends right along white river. There were other people camped there but we found a spot where the previous people had left a pile of already cut wood so we settled in for the night with no one close by. The sounds of the water is loud enough that we couldn’t hear the road nearby. There is a road that you can take your bicycles along which parallel the river and gives a nice diversion with tall stately trees and quiet surroundings, definitely go back again .
