If you are looking for remote camping in the pine forest at 8000’ elevation, this is a great place. It is near to a BLM environmental study area. There are 15 camping sites. Most of them are for smaller 20’?) campers. there are three or four sites large enough for 30’ rigs but I wouldn’t try to go bigger. No hookups. There is fresh water but the faucet isn’t always ‘unlocked.’ Bring your own water...
It’s about a 45 minute drive from Casper. About 1 mile south of Beartrap Campground the road turns to an improved, gravel road. It’s a good road but really washboarded in some areas.
