We were here September 2020. Nice little lake, grassy sites, fully stocked store (in season) with ice cream! We enjoyed our short stay.

We used this as a quick sleeping stop on our way out west. The park is very convenient on/off from I80. There is nothing directly around the park, but anything & everything you need is 15 min away. This park has great pull through sites with full hookups. We loved it because we didn’t have to disconnect our vehicle - this saves on time!
The bathrooms are very clean & heated - a nice perk on a chilly morning.
The park is very quiet too - great stop over & easy to get going the next morning.

The manager was super nice and drove us around on a golf cart to look at a few available sites. They had just had a week straight of rain so the sites were all a little wet but drainage was fine. We backed in so we wouldn't have to drive through the wet grass but sites are all pull-through.
It's a little bit of a drive to anything but we chose this location as a mid-point in a longer drive. You can hear highway noise but not too bad. The campground was half empty when we stayed but many of the sites are angled weird or buddy positioning (door facing your neighbor's door). So if the campground was full it would have felt a lot tighter. The manager was nice and let us park in the site next to us.
It's a strange entrance driving through a beat up gas station parking lot or driving through the mobile home section of the park to get to the office, but the campground itself isn't run down. Grass was mowed and green. Sites were clean.
We wanted to explore the area and the manager let us checkout a couple hours late since the site was unoccupied the next day.

Bathrooms are very clean! Small pool and playground for the kids. Highly recommend if passing through. Gravel sites, fire pits, and nice grass (surrounded by fields of corn). Mike met us when we arrived and guided us to our site. He couldn’t have been nicer!
We would absolutely stay here if passing through.

Once off interstate, the directional signs are confusing. You can actually get there either through the abandoned gas station or via a mobile home park. We called earlier on the day of our arrival and got voice mail. The message said to contact the host in site 6 for assistance. We left a message but no one returned the call. When we arrived, the office was closed and no one was home at site 6. There was no map indicating available sites. There was, however, a notice on the door regarding water quality – apparently some issues with copper/iron. We didn't use the water. There were only a couple sites we could fit in so we just picked one. About an hour and a half later there was a knock on the door, and we were told we had to move as this site was assigned to someone else. What??? We were only there one night, and yes they made us move. Bad bad customer service. The least they could have done was to offer a discount or free night due to their negligence. Ugh. This is not an attractive campground. The sites used to be gravel but are mostly overrun by grass now. They are lumpy and unlevel. The sites are very close together with some at very weird angles. It appears to be mostly long term or seasonal. The WII FI worked well but would drop you after a short period. Not sure about satellite as we didn't try but there is maybe a 50/50 chance due to trees. The campground is near the highway behind a motel but you can hear traffic. Verizon was 4g 3 bars. Electric worked fine even though the connections looked questionable. We would not stay here again.
