“Enjoyed My stay But Needs Some Work”

Reviewed 9/12/2022

Nightly rate: $30
Site Number: 4
RV Length: 41' (Fifth Wheel)
Overall Rating

We arrived at night and had trouble figuring out our site. We believe the RV sites are laid out as an after thought by someone who does not really understand RVing. They only have a few sites that are able to fit big rigs. Apparently we were on sites 4 and 5 but hooked up to site 3. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We still aren’t sure how that happened.

The site was nice, and very shaded. The property has a pool, 3 docks to fish from, tons of cabins and a restaurant. The restaurant was absolutely AMAZING! Make sure to get a reservation ASAP as they fill up fast. All the staff were great. Lots of people were catching rainbow trout.

There are 2 dogs that seem to hangout in the area. Apparently they belong to someone a few properties down, they are very friendly but poop a lot. There is also this nasty smelling area where is looks like sewage is coming out which is nasty. I hope they get that fixed ASAP.

“Cabin area is very nice, RV park lacking”

Our stay began with incorrect #on res. After hours phone call offered 3 other sites-all occupied. Finally landed in site next to primitive camp.
Pros: Full hookups were convenient. Shaded sites. Put O gold restaurant is 5 stars! Fishing was good. Family stayed in really nice cabin.
Cons : Water pressure very low. Sites very close together. TOO MANY DOGS OFF LEASH. Dog poop not picked up, many people allowed pets to poop in children’s play area. No camp host-nothing monitored. No quiet hours enforced-partying into wee hours & small of marijuana strong.
It’s as if cabin area and RV park att managed by different groups.

“RV Sites Lacking ”

noted 4/14/2023

This review only pertains to the RV campground. We did not stay at the cabins or eat at the restaurant. Having said that, the place looks very nice. The grounds are well kept and the exterior of all the cabins look maintained and nice. The resort sits on a great location along the Little Red River and has a dock. The reason for the 3 star review is that the campground seems like an after thought. Sites are laid out poorly with sewer/water/electric hook ups in strange and odd locations. It looked like most sites were shared and very few had picnic tables or fire rings. We had reservations months in advance but decided not to stay. The lady at the front desk was very understanding and returned our deposit. While I can't recommend for campers everything else seems very nice.
