“We arrived just before sunset on a Friday in April and had the place to ourselves. Beautiful spot.”

6/9/23-6/10/23. It was nice and peaceful. Loved hearing the boats drive by early in the morning to see them fishing. We heard the fish jumping at night. A few big beetles. No shade in our campsite. The toilet was stocked of toilet paper. I would stay here again.

There were huge beetles which were just more fascinating than annoying, some ants (no one got bit) and some intermittent swarms of gnat-like things ( they didn’t bite or make it into the trailer, they were just annoying. We came to the entrance where the pit toilet was and kept right and then to the right again, the dirt/gravel road took us around to two large circle areas overlooking the water, we stayed in the southern one. I think you could launch a small boat from the other one. Our site just had a great view but not a place to get to the water. We enjoyed lots of fishermen trolling in and out and huge fish jumping, lots of birds etc. if you have a trailer you may need some leveling equipment or large chocks, or just be extra choosy about where you park. Overall very quiet, no one bothered us and we were alone on a Friday night.

“Scout before you turn in”

Recommend you scout this if you have an RV of any real size — our 5th wheel was large for the area and there is no turnaround if campers are already present. Recommend the boat launch areas until you have a grasp of where to camp .... or just stay at the boat launches - plenty of room.

Nice spot not to far from I90. Says you need a discover pass, but no one ever came by. People fish during the day but quiet another than that. Easy road coming in
