We stayed for a week he already booked for next year. We stayed in a standard back in site for most of the week and then a premium site for 2 nights. The experiences were both positive but night and day. The standard site was well equipped, clean, but tight. It backed up to steel vengeance and was a wild experience hearing coasters and screaming well into the night. The premium site was amazing! It had lake views, more space and was luxuriously large with its built in fire pit and beautiful furniture. Definitely highly recommend a premium site. The beach by the resort and ability to go in and out of the park during the day was well worth the higher cost of this park.

We didn't use them, but we did take a peek.
Also, we received a special deal on the stay when we bought a two-day Cedar Point pass, which the park is just a quick 10-minute walk away! We saved so much money by not eating at the park.

The sites are close together, but separated by trees to give a little privacy between sites which is very nice. My only complaint is the site lock fee. I like to be able to pick out a site ahead of time and I don't mind paying a small fee to be able to do so. However, this park wanted to charge me over $200 to lock in a site. That's absurd! We took our chances and just hoped we ended up with a nice site. Cell coverage was good -- Verizon: 59.1 dl/35.4 ul; AT&T: 10.5 dl/1.9 ul; T-Mobile: 107 dl/35.2 ul.

Fantastic stay at Lighthouse Point. Amenities were solid and the location (for going to Cedar Point, the water park, or the beach) is amazing! A few helpful hints/things I wish we knew beforehand:
*Site 249 was perfect for a popup - restrooms close by. This site was also close to the pool and relatively secluded because of the awesome landscaping! Site 250 (to our right when looking at the site) was also close to the restrooms, but doesn't have the same level of screening at the back; you'd be looking at the restroom/shower building. We were VERY close to the Steel Vengeance rollercoaster - we had a blast watching people as they went down the first hill! It was AWESOME since that's what we were there for!!!
*You're able to get into both the water park and Cedar Point 1 hour early because you're staying on site (obv. check when you go, but the checkin folks weren't sure about the water park)!
*There's a shuttle that takes you to a secret back entrance to CP - near the Magnum. It's also walkable to both CP and the water park.
*There's a beach on the other side of the peninsula - it was lovely! Somewhat long walk from our site (many sites are closer - we were just at the opposite end of the campground), and cold water (late May) but the kiddos loved playing in the sand while hubby and I had an adult beachy beverage at the tiki lounge right on the beach.
*The restaurants on the peninsula close at the same time as the park. Local pizza joints (D0mino3s) charge an arm and a leg for pizza. We got an XL 3 topping pizza and 2 salads for $63. Yikes! Plan ahead and bring food or make it to the restaurants before they close!
It's definitely pricey, but they clearly take pride in the cleanliness of the grounds - everything was spotless and high quality. We will absolutely stay there again (maybe with friends/family in the cabins and/or hotel nearby) next time we head to Cedar Point!

It's about a 1/4 mile walk to the entrance, but you are staying right next to the Steel Vengeance coaster, at the northern tip of the peninsula. There is a nice pool and plenty of area to walk around. Our dogs weren't bothered by the coasters, either. It's surprisingly quiet given the location next to the rides. Clean, paved, and RV's only from what we could tell. This is more of an RV resort than a 'campground'. You are here for thrill rides, not nature.
It is very expensive, however. But, that's what you get for an amusement park and the convenience. The staff also let us do a late checkout (6pm) without charging us on a Sunday, which was really nice.
We have stayed here twice and I'm sure we will be back many more times.

This campground is owned, operated, and part of Cedar Point (CP) Amusement Park. We have stayed here many times and will again for sure as we already have reservations for next Memorial Day weekend. We often frequent the park and staying here makes it even better having access to your own place for lunch and for a quick relax when running around the amusement park all day. There are shuttles that will take you wherever you want to go around CP so you don't always have to walk but the campground is only a 5 minute walk to the nearest park entrance gate. Staying at a CP resort allows you to enter the park an hour before anyone else who is not staying at one of there places allowing you to ride all the big coaster before anyone else enters the park. The only reason we come here is for the amusement park so we aren't at the site often at all but never had any issues with any of the amenities. The place is most definitely big rig friendly. All sites would be easy to enter and exit for sure. There is a little store on site for the little things and it also sells beer and wine. The lakeview sites are only a few years old now and are gorgeous and huge but yes pricier. Not much bad to say about it other than it being pricey but that's what it is for being at the best coaster amusement park in the entire US. Oh and in late summer fall the spiders are very prevalent webs on everything but it doesn't really bother me. I always have a can of spray handy.

UNLESS you love amusement parks and plan to ride roller coasters, DO NOT stay here. This was a concrete jungle with no rules. There were three converted vans in the site next to us, all in the same pull-through. My guess is about 15 people were staying in the pull-through site. If their noise wasn't loud enough, the roller coasters will make up for it. You hear roller coasters until closing, which was pretty late in the night.
When you pull into the RV park, you have to go right through the only road that leads to the amusement park. So, the crowds of cars can make it tough if you pull in at the wrong time of the day.
If you plan to visit Cedar Point amusement park, this might be the right spot. If you don't, find somewhere else.

The Lighthouse Point Campground is nicely landscaped and maintained, with a swimming pool, shuffleboard, and a few other amenities (we didn't use any of them). Sites are a little close together but we've seen far worse. It's extremely convenient being able to walk back to the RV from Cedar Point at lunch time to walk our dog (or to have a cost-effective homemade lunch). Between that, the savings on park admission, and not having to pay for parking, the price isn't quite as outrageous as it seems at first glance. For us, the 1-hour early entry into the park was a huge draw... we were able to ride the three most popular rides (twice for two of them) before the floodgates opened to the public at 10am. The WiFi had problems... sometimes it worked great, sometimes not at all... even though it still worked on a different device. On the downside, our back-in site was very unlevel, requiring three boards under our front wheels (and boards under our jacks) to keep our leveling jacks from lifting the wheels into the air. The entire campground was infested with spiders, mosquitos, and other flying insects. We couldn't go outside without repellant, and every time we opened the door a few bugs immediately got into the RV. When checking in, they tell you about the shuttle that periodically takes you from the campground to the Cedar Point park entrance. However, it's a relatively short walk from anywhere in the campground to the "Resort Entrance" to Cedar Point, so we walked instead of waiting around for the shuttle. We didn't take any photos of our site, but the entire campground is mapped with Google Street View so you can get a look at every campsite that way. We would definitely stay here again, but only for the convenience (walk the dog at lunch) and early entry to Cedar Point.
