Overall Rating
Possibly our favorite CG yet in 11 months fulltiming. We had no reservation since we stayed for 3 weekdays. May be needed for a weekend stay, especially if you want a prime (waterfront) site. Electric only (50A). Park feel and grounds are well-maintained. About a 3 mile (one way) paved biking/hiking trail that travels between the Missouri River and the sites. Huge CG of over 400 sites, divided into 4 or 5 sections. $20 for a non-prime site, $23 for prime. There is also a daily use fee ($6 per vehicle/$30 annual pass) that is valid for all SD State Parks. Adjacent state-run marina & lodge with waterfront restaurant offers boat rentals and launch ramps. Several swimming beaches in CG. We stayed in site #137 at recommendation of staff at check-in. Highly recommend a prime site... and they fill first, it seems. We received 19 OTA channels.
