Agree with previous reviewer. Good place to get away. Right on the Rappahannock river and close to historical sites and wineries. Management is super friendly and accommodating. If you have a large rig, it can be tight with some of the trees, but not a showstopper. Stayed in site on the loop around the main building with 30 amp and water. No sewer at the campground, but they have a dump station. Bring your portable wastewater tank or “blue boy” if you plan to stay longer than your tank capacity. Had low voltage on hot day when everyone was running their AC.
J would stay here again

“Quiet "no frills" campground right on the Rappahannock river”

This is an older campground. It is about 30% full timers. However, the campground is nice and quiet with awesome views of the river. The bathrooms are functional and were well kept, but they are old and there is only 1 toilet and 1 stall for mens shower and same for womens. There were some low hanging branches that drug a bit on my roof when heading over to the dump station, that partly because of the old huge beautiful trees. The camp store has ice and some fishing supplies, but don't expect to get groceries or other camping supplies. The campground has a boat launch and a pier that boaters tie up to, but was also good for fishing and scenery. The owner is very friendly and accomodating and everyone we ran into were great as well. Most sites are water and electric only. The full hookups seemed to be for the full timers and then only some of them had it. There aren't a lot of amenities here, but if you like a nice quiet weekend with friendly neighbors and to fish/swim in the river. This is a great place. Oh and the cell service on ATT was great!
