Ledgefork is one of my favorite places to camp. Site #27 is an inside site, so no access to any of the rivers. It has 3 spaces for medium to small tents. Our large tent did not quite fit, so we didn't pull it to it's full width. It contained a nice little area with trees to get shade and hang a hammock. Easy access to 2 bathrooms. None of the RVs near us ran their generators, which was lovely. There was a huge group with 5 cars taking up the 2 spots next to us and they were quiet and friendly. It was still quite cold in the middle of June -- got to 32 degrees one night.

They caught two trout and we cooked them for dinner! Son even found some coral fossils at the reservoir!! Camp host was great: sassy & funny & genuinely nice and helpful.

This is a national forest campground and it has pit toilets. The road into the campground is dirt and has a little wash boarding but overall not too bad. The campground itself has paved roads. Reservations are probably needed for weekends. It is incredibly beautiful and we were fortunate to be here at the height of fall colors with the gold aspens and red maples. We drove a 25 ft. RV and had no problems, but we did see some people with a long trailer have some difficulties maneuvering into their site.

Disclaimer: We were here over July 24, a Utah holiday, so I imagine it may be quieter on non-holiday weekends.
We stayed in sites 70,71, and 72. The sites were just fine, although there was not a truly level spot for a tent in any of the sites we booked. The asphalt around each firepit has started to crumble, so be aware and have lights on at night so you don't fall. There was not a lot of shade on site 72, but the other ones were fine.
When we arrived on July 24, the canyon was extremely busy and not all the sites were cleared from previous reservations. The sites did quiet down on the Thursday night, but it got packed again on the Friday and Saturday. This campground is super close to Park city and salt lake (30 min to 1 hour) so there are a lot of locals who camp here for 1-2 nights. They don't always have the best manners or the best camping skills. Think kids who don't have proper gear for the cold and who scream all night, or drunk 20 year olds who stumble into other people's campgrounds, and families who chop down GREEN trees for firewood (seriously, three different ones).
The vault toilets were mostly cleaned, but were not restocked each day. You may want to have TP on hand just in case. There was a weedwacker or leaf blower that started up around 8am. Not sure what that was about. Also there is firewood available from the camp hosts. If you don't want to buy it there, the closest town is about 20 minutes away.
The fishing in the river proved very good, but the fishing in the lake was not as fruitful. You can get cell signal if you drive down the canyon just a bit. You don't even have to go all the way down.

Our toddler loved throwing rocks into the stream that wound through the sites and we all loved the ample shade! For creekside spots, try sites 4, 8, or 10. Our site (7) was nice but close to the double site, which was a little raucous. Very lovely for a quick trip away.

Whatever you are doing, stop doing it and go here now. This place is what campground dreams are made of. Tree-covered mountain views for days, the scent of fresh pine trees wafting through the air, and never-ending sound of a rushing stream to lull you to sleep. Sites were well taken care of with fire pits, and most were wooded. Loop A looked better (more wooded and privacy) than loop B. We were in site 49 in the B loop and it was one of the better ones over there, although a tight squeeze for our 17 ft Lo Liner + Tahoe. There is a beautiful reservoir a 5 minute walk down the road where people were fishing, kayaking, etc. You can find a little spot under the trees to relax or have a picnic. Pit toilets were clean. The place was really quiet during the week with a bit more traffic on the weekend, but everyone was respectful and it stayed pretty quiet. There are two hiking trails at the back of the B loop. There are currently signs that these are closed due to a fire last year, but it seems like people are still using them. It is also bear country, so be mindful of your food, garbage, etc. The road in is a dirt road. There are a few bumpy spots, but for the most part, there was no issue. No cell service up here at all, but if you drive down the main road about 10 min you will get a Verizon signal. I would also pack in whatever you need so you don't have to make the drive into town, although not terrible, it will be a 30-40 min drive, and I guarantee you won't want to leave once you are here!
If we are ever in the area again, this will be our first stop!
