“Quiet on remote dirt road”

The road in is single track dirt road along step ditch... You better hope you don't meet a big rig coming out or one of you is going to have to back up. Cost was over $60 for small trailer one night.. lots of birds calling.

We enjoyed this no-frills park, it was quiet, dark, and our spot (#8) was very level. There is no office so you call the number on the sign when you get into the park and Ted will tell you which spot to park in. We had plenty of room in our spot. This place gives the feel of a secluded state park except with full hookups hard packed gravel/dirt with a fire ring and picnic table. The water pressure was great, and the 50-amp service seemed to be very stable. They were in the process of adding 9 more spaces (most of them pull-thru) while we were there, they finally got the electric hooked up. There were quite a few seasonal/full-timers and are even a couple of cabins to rent. We would stay here again if we are ever back in this area.
The road going into the park and the roads inside the park are a little narrow, but there is not a lot of traffic.
If you need a pool and lots of other activities to occupy your time then this is not the place for you, but if you like it nice and quiet and dark then give this place a try.
Clovis would stay here again

Booked a last minute stay for $15! Staff was very friendly and got us a spot right on the water. Friendly for RVs, tents, and car campers alike!

Our family of 5 stayed here for a week in a 50A site with water and sewer. Site was reasonably level, solid (hard packed gravel & dirt), had a fire ring and picnic table. The site was right next to a little stream our kids enjoyed playing in and following downstream to the playground.
Owner was friendly and helpful but not overbearing, and brought us a nice pile of firewood for $15. He also had no problem with our late checkout (2pm).
Entrance road is a one lane dirt/gravel road that runs next to an abandoned railroad. It's a little narrow at first, but opens up a bit as you get closer to the actual campground, and it's low traffic. No problem for our 45' coach. At the campground entrance is a sign with a number to call to check in - we got verbal instructions on how to find and access our site.
Weekly rate was $265 cash including tax. Card would have been a 3.5% surcharge (274.28). (Call to make your reservation.)
Would absolutely stay here again.

“The $15 Price Is Only For Tents ”
noted 7/21/2023
I called and the price for RVs is about $50 per night. Also, it is 9 miles off the interstate I-77 on I-79; so not convenient if traveling north/south on I-77
