Pull through sites with gravel pads, electricity, water, and sewer. Wi-Fi signal was decent but internet connectivity non-existent. Bathrooms were very clean, and the campground buildings were nicely decorated. Sites were terraced into the side of a hill thus giving a nice view. Would definitely stay here again!

The gravel site was level and long enough for our 27' trailer and truck. Because we were camping with some family, we reserved buddy sites so that we shared a common space between us (#35 & #36). The grounds and facilities are clean and well maintained, and the owners very friendly and helpful. There is a nice dog park, a pool and lawn games, as well as laundry facilities with bathrooms and showers. It was a great experience and we will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for a month in order to reduce our travel during the coronavirus outbreak and paid just $500 for our stay. Owners Dan and Nancy guided us to our site and helped us position the camper (our site was pull-through but the entry made for a tight turn). We didn’t make use of the bathrooms or showers during our stay, and none of the recreational buildings were open due to the virus, but we made use of the laundry room. The office building includes a small store with various snacks and souvenir items, and they sell propane: if you have portable tanks they will refill them and drop them off at your site. Each site comes with a picnic table and fire ring, and firewood is available for purchase (and that will also be delivered to your site).
I work a 40-hour work week and require a constant internet connection. The campground is 1 mile south of I-70, and by pointing my Verizon hotspot device with MIMO antenna towards I-70 I was able to get between 40-60Mbps down and 5Mbps up, which was more than enough for work and also for streaming TV shows. My AT&T signal on my smartphone was also good. Despite being close to I-70, there is no road noise, and on a clear night you can see a decent number of stars.
This is a very dog-friendly campground. The dog park is large with a 4-foot fence and double-gates at each end. There are other grassy areas to walk your dogs near the front of the campground. The gravel sites and roads means there’s less chance of tracking mud into the camper, though there were some spots where our greyhounds didn’t like to walk because the gravel was too loose or the rocks were too large.
The campground has a lot of cool little bonus features. There’s a koi pond just off the road leading to the office and you can buy fish food to feed them. There’s also a small fishing pond that we saw a number of guest take advantage of. At the back of the campground is a wide gravel trail leading down to a small lake, and there’s a hiking trail that leads to the other side of the lake and up the hillside. There are several wooden sculptures and totem poles scattered throughout the campground, and the outdoor hangout space near the pool has a number of artistic decorations.
We enjoyed our stay there and plan on returning the next time we are in the area.

We read all of the great reviews before making the decision to stay...and we’re glad we found this hidden gem. Nice facilities and the people that run it are awesome...and extremely accommodating. We got in after dark and they were there to greet us. They guided us to our spot and came back to check on us once we were all set up for the night. We will definitely keep this spot on our list when in the area.

Beautiful property, welcoming and friendly. Dan showed me the way to my campsite, and made sure to pull out his Level before he left! Dog park is great, the pond is beautiful. The attention to detail at this campground is among the best I’ve ever seen. Easy access off I70. Was a perfect reprieve after KS. Highly recommended.

We chose Lazy Day for our very first trip. They were out of full hookups but we had electric and water. It's a great little place; big dog park, two catch and release fishing lakes, a big game area with horseshoes, washers, and other games, a couple of clubhouses and a nice little pool. The laundry, bathrooms and showers were very clean. For $7 they will bring a decent load of firewood to your site, enough for a couple nights. Note: There is NO central dump. If you're going to need to dump, you'll need full hookup sites and not the water and electric only sites.

We stopped over for 1 night- mostly just trying to get out of St Louis and this was the closest thing I could find to the interstate. This is such a nice property and I wish we'd stayed several days instead of just one night. The owners are really putting money and effort back into the property. The laundry and bathhouse are immaculate. There are trails to walk after a long day or early morning. That morning we walked down through the woods to a small lake, watched a goose and listened to turkeys calling. There is a nice fenced dog area. There wood carvings all over the property which are fun to walk around and look at. A nice spot for tenting too - the tent area was away from the RVs. It's really quiet and very well cared for, easy to get to and out of. This will definitely be on my can't miss list any time we come through the area and we'll definitely stay for a few days next time.

We paid $38 - which is a huge bargain for a campground of this quality. Several little ponds to enjoy and even a couple of walking trails. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The laundry and shower house was very clean and unique. Corn hole and other yard games set out for your use. Pool looks huge and very nice (we didn’t use). Huge fenced in dog area. Possibly the nicest campground we have stayed at. Wish we had more time to enjoy it!
