Pulled into our site and saw no staff or host. Before going to sleep, we noticed a park pass on the picnic table - have no idea when or who placed it there. I personally did not feel safe in this campground. The park was quiet.

I think the shoulder seasons, especially fall, are the perfect time to camp here if you're looking for scenery and a more peaceful camping experience. The grounds are well maintained. Our site was closer to the boat ramp (but elevated on the opposite shore) than it appeared in the pictures. We enjoyed watching the boats go in and out, but it's probably very noisy in the summertime when the beach is open. We were also there midweek, which is when we would stay again. We have a 26ft fifth wheel and for us the site was easy to back into, level side to side and only off an inch front to back. We had plenty of space around our site, but as you move farther into the loop the sites are closer to each other.

Great spot, a ways off the Highway though which we didn’t love. The Park attendant was great. We picked a spot initially without a view and she moved us to a much better spot. Some sites are paved and some aren’t. The park is super quiet and has a lot of amenities! Cell service isn’t great but they have a hotspot to connect to!

We arrived the first day of off-season (September) and avoided any crowds! We stayed on the loop closest to the beach access and there was a bathroom with two private toilets. No sinks in the bathroom so bring hand sanitizer if you use them. This area has tent and RV sites, all with panoramic views. We watched the sunset over the lake both nights. The beach access here was closed (seasonal) so we went around the corner to the North Fork area beach during the day. A Dollar General, gas station, hardware store, and small restaurant are very close. The free Wi-Fi service signal was strong on both of our phones, thankfully because my cell service is practically non-existent in this area and I used it to track the weather.
