I just have to tell you guys about this 'cause I've never seen it happen. We were at Lakeview COE park for a week. The park was maybe 10-15% full. Our friends showed up around 10:30 a.m. with reservations to start that day. They went in and the Camp Snoop (Host) told them they can't check in 'til 3:00 p.m. The loop they had reservations in was completely empty. Not a soul there. Nobody in their reserved site. They politely asked why. No reason given. They asked why again. The Camp Snoop got mad and called the head Ranger. He drove out from town and basically told them rules are rules. Check in at 3. Period. Now I don't know about you guys, but several times we've arrived at a campground a little early, and if it's empty, we pull in and set up. Never ever had anybody say anything anywhere. And a few times we've known people were a little early for our site, we tried to get packed up a little quicker. No hurry, just trying to be polite. Another thing about this campground- the sites were dirty and trashy. It looks like maybe the Snoops blow off all the trash just to the edge of the campsite and don't pick it up. I guess that's what they do. They don't do anything else. And another thing about this campground- they have at least a half dozen or more 50 amp full hook-up sites that they will not rent out. They say it's for "volunteers". We've been going there for 20+ years, and never ever have seen a volunteer there. These beautiful campsites sit dormant. Except for a couple pf times we've seen people camped in 1 or 2 of the spots who were friends of the Snoop. So, the point being- why are these people harrassing campers over some rule that no campground has ever enforced if the site is empty?!? And why can't we rent a full-hookup site there? There answer is B.S. I guess maybe I need to write the local COE commander and get some answers.

We reserved for two nights in March and ended up arriving a day late due to fuel pump failure. The host refunded charges for the first night without any prompting from us. The site provided a very nice view of the lake. All sites appear to be nice and we felt like there was sufficient space between sites.
We had planned to walk on the trail that leaves the campground, but due to recent heavy rain ended up just walking around the campground.
We had also planned to take showers using the shower house. Unfortunately there was a major sewer blockage and water was backed up on the floors. There was a plumbing crew digging the next morning and no doubt solved the problem without too much inconvenience for campers staying longer.
All-in-all, a very pleasant campground you typical for Corp of Engineers campgrounds and we will certainly consider staying again if we travel through the area.

Very clear beautiful lake; our site was in the B loop on bluff overlooking water through trees; large clean bathrooms; level site; table with shelter cover; very busy on the weekends but super quiet in the evenings. Signage in the park could be better as many drove in the wrong way. Despite the boat ramp there is no real boat trailer parking so you either park on the side of the road (which is limited) or bring it back to your site. But the lake itself is lovely - some of the clearest water we have seen.
A & D loops are closer to marina and don't offer as much privacy; B & C have more shade and B has a few sites overlooking the water - through the trees.

Very nice COE campground. Electric and water only but multiple dump stations on site. Campsites are well spaced and plenty of shade. Close to the dam which provides easy access to both Bull Shoals Lake and the White River.

Very nice, quiet campground. Many open sites. Level concrete pad, shelter over picnic table, full hook up. Women’s shower was cold water but men’s side had hot water. Would stay again

Greate site and location. Pads are good concrete and gravel apron with an asphalt drive. Plenty of separation between sites. Being in the Ozark there is plenty of shade trees. Most sites have a metal roof Shelter and an aluminum picnic table.

The campsites were very spacious with water and electric hookups. The bathrooms were within a short walk and had four separate toilet and shower stalls. The covered concrete picnic table was nice however it prevented us from extending our awning as space wasn’t allowed for doing this. If you have a boat the public launch is right at This campground. There were two hookups at the Dump station which was in an open area and easy to access.
The only recommendation we would make is there should be a sign for campground B & C on the road behind checkin building. The only sign posted was for the public launch area but since we had never been here before we had a hard toke interpreting the campground map and missed this turn.
Unfortunately the lake was up and therefore the designated beach area was under water and we couldn’t use this area.
Had great view of the sunsets from the boat launch area.
Buffalo white river state park is a short drive from this COE campground.

We arrived without reservations, but there were plenty of sites available. The camp host was very helpful and friendly. We usually try to get a site with a lake view, so my only small complaint is that most of the sites do not have a good view of the lake. We are here in the first part of October and most of the campers are fishing, so even over the weekend the campground was very quiet with the exception of a few pickups going by. The sites themselves are paved with a cover over the picnic tables and are very spacious. If you have a boat, the lake is beautiful.

Recreational Area accessed off main road thru town of Lakeview (turn N off highway at Red's BaIt Shop). A short 1/3 mile drive brings you to this idyllic c/g.
