Easy to find. Visitors center at the entrance. Plenty of room for our 33ft class a and our tow car. A short drive into the town of Winters is a must do. Such cute shops, restaurants, and a wine tasting room. We did not use the shower but we checked them out. Not great, but in an emergency, ok. 3 days was fine for me, and water, electric and an on site dump for 20$ a night is a real deal in California. Maybe 25$ without senior discount. Also, you could hear a little highway noise, but barely.

I'd give it 3-4 stars for the scenery and location. But the disgusting state of the showers and bathrooms make it a 1 star. I don't understand how the facilities could be this bad. There are 3 camp hosts in the grounds and 2 maintenance folks running around. This is no exaggeration: feces all over the place, mold growing up the shower curtains, numerous spider webs in the corners of the showers, and a tampon in the shower stall. I checked next day (more than 24 hours later), they hadn't been cleaned. Inexcusible. Worst I've seen.

The campground is next to the Purah creek which is home to a lot of water fowl, otters and other critters. The campsite it self has numerous peacocks which make for an exotic scene as they wander around looking for handouts or grazing in the grass. Unfortunately, the park needs some serious upgrades to rest rooms and showers which are old and very dirty. We did use them but felt very uncomfortable doing so. It is a shame because this could be a lovely campground in a location convenient to Sacramento and to the wine regions of Napa.

We had the opportunity to get away over New Years without kids and I found this place on Campendium. I had stayed here several years before during the Summer and liked it. We arrived and with no problems and our site was fairly easy to get into this our 29 ft trailer. Water and electric hook ups only, but they have a cleanout up on the top and the restrooms/ showers were 15 yards away. We had the whole loop to ourselves. The restrooms/ showers and the grounds were clean. There is a nature trail out side of our spot that had a bit of foot traffic in the AM from bird watchers but all were friendly. A lot of peacocks wandering the park and they were not afraid of venturing into your site.

We had never camped here before. I have wanted to get a spot by the water but there were none available. We stayed on top and had water and electric hookups. The spot was level and shady. We ended up very happy with this spot as we talked with other campers and found out the Mosquitos are much worse closer to the water and you tend to get larger and louder groups camping there. We had a super quiet area, well except for the numerous peacocks. A very pleasant weekend. The camp hosts did say mid week it is very empty.

They have 58 sites some with water & electric hook-ups, and flat level spots suitable for trailers and rigs. The waterside spots are much nicer but have no hookups, and only a few are accessible for RVs. But if we went back we would try and score one of those. Worth the premium they charge.
Winters is a nearby town that has some nice eating spots, and there is a nearby brewery that opens at the weekend. Davis is not too far away for a day trip.
The downsides of this park: The showers are ancient and the hot water was non existent. But the biggest issue was that the park is absolutely covered in goose poop, which was stinky and icky! It kind of put us off spending any time in the park area.
This campground is filled with beautiful peacocks. They are everywhere and very pretty. But they are also extremely noisy and may well wake you up with their screeching!
