Sprinklers come on which make for great lawns, but be aware to not keep your stuff in those areas. We especially loved our short hike up to the dam for sunset. Surprisingly we were the only folks up there. It was a real treat. We spotted two bucks, one was about the biggest we’d ever seen.

The temps in northern Montana were almost 100 so I checked out this campsite for its electric hookups so I could run my AC. Most campgrounds in the area were full because of the Fourth of July weekend, however this one is almost empty. There are several pull-through sites, the rest back-in. The sites are relatively level, I moved my RV several times until I could get it level. There are no full hook ups, only electric, plus picnic table and grill at each campsite. There are several water spigots located throughout the campground to refill RV freshwater tanks, plus a dump and rinse station, and one restroom with flush toilets, sinks and showers with hot water, five dumpsters, two located at the entrance, one located in the campground, and two others located at the baseball fields. The sites are well spaced but no privacy.
Sheldon‘s baseball fields are located at one end of the campground area and the other end has a short trail up an earthen dam to Lake Shel-Oole where you can fish. There’s a lot of Richardson’s Ground squirrels running around the campsite and their holes pepper the ground. Also, quite a few birds. Other than that there’s not much to do.
The campground is a little rundown, holes dug to repair water spigots and not filled in, rutted campsite parking areas, no latches on bathroom stalls, tattered US, Canada and Montana flags flying. With last year‘s pandemic and the economic downturn it’s understandable.

There have got to be 30 rv spots here and in the begining of July I only ever had maybe 4 other sites occupied each night. One night I was the only RV here. On T-mobil I had 4/5 bars and 50/60 mbps down and 15 up. That's awesome.
On ATT I had 12 down and 5 up. That's also very workable.
Aside from it being so quiet here, it was also clean.
Finally, Shelby is a great little town if you need to get things done. They a library which made it easy to print out work, a post office that was empty so easy to mail/ship things, and then essential stuff for RVing (groceries/ auto parts stores/ hardware stores)

City campground. A little worn, but everything seemed to work, it's convenient to I15 & Hwy2, is quiet, has easy RV access for all sizes (some large pull through), and felt very secure (sheriff deputy drove through once). There is electric at each site, shared water spigots randomly placed, showers that looked safe enough, and a dump site. At $25 it's a little steep considering everything but power is free for passers through.
