I stayed here twice on my travels across the boarder. First time was great. Hardly anyone there and quite other than the train. Second time I had some sketchy people there. Also people who left at 3:00 am with no regard to anyone else there. They packed up like it was the middle of the day.

A very grassy and well-kept park just outside the town of Shelby. It accommodated our 40 foot rig with no problem and even had 30 amp service and water nearby for $25 a night. Bathrooms and showers were very well cleaned, and you could tell they were maintained and restocked frequently.

Sites are fairly small and you need to unhook unless you get one of the few pull through. Perfect spot away from the highway. Nice dog run area. $25 feet pay station

Shelby is a quaint community conveniently located just south of the Canadian border. This park has 30 amp, some sites have water, back ins and pull thrus. Pay is on the honor system. Of course it is an industrial town so the obligatory train went thru several times. It was a perfect overnight stop.

The need to know info…The water spigots are scattered within the campground, grills are only on the outside (back-in) spots, and there are only a handful of picnic tables between all the sites. The restrooms are pretty clean, but very outdated and worn. The stall doors don’t latch in the men’s room and the shower stalls are what one might consider “semi-private”. The stall walls are pretty short.
If you’re passing through and need a place to stay, I’d recommend it. Just be aware of it’s quirks and keep your expectations realistic.

Stayed as an overnight right before heading up to Canada. Every site does have a electric hook up, but not all of them have potable water. There is a decent amount that has both electric and water, still when you pull in if it’s late at night you need to look at the site and be ready to have a long at least 25ft hose or more if you want to get water. I noticed some sites where RV/trailers were parked they would have their water hose connected to another sites water source making that site just an electric only. I thought that was weird. Why not just park at that site? Other then that, there is a free dump station, clean, and quiet. Can be kind of buggy since it’s by a lake which you have to walk up hill in order to see it. Didn’t go into the bathroom/shower area, but saw that others used it. Also they have self pay station so it’s first come first serve.
